By many estimates as many as 45 million. And the approximate rate per day is 2,727/day

Hmm isn't that a loaded question.
Arguably none. Check the definition of 'baby' at www.merriam-webster.com (American webster) or en.wikipedia.org (open and collaborative project) or www.askoxford.com (UK English).
Sadly the only times I've seen the word 'baby' actually used as synonymous with 'foetus' is in politically biased writing.
It is hard to know how many abortions happened before r v. w. Apparently many went down on paper as still-born and miscarriages.
I agree that the ethics, morals and legalities of abortion are important and need to be discussed.
I suppose I'm a dreamer to hope that we could discuss it without hyperbola

I knew it was millions, but I didn't realize it was so many. I think that the rate is up around a million a year.
Thank God my mother didn't abort me.
