Death is a natural part of life obviously, and I do not fear it. There is nothing we can do about it, so why waste time worrying. In my opinion there is no afterlife so I have nothing to look forward to when it comes to death. I'll rot in a box and that's it. Since I don't have anything to look forward to I spend my life enjoying life as much as possible, including my friends and family. I've wondered why if believers think that the next life would be so much better, why aren't they in more of a hurry to get there. This may already be happening on a grand scale. The evangelical christian george bush has gotten us into an unjust war (there were no WMD's and none of the terrorist were from Iraq, they were from saudi arabia) possibly to perpetuate what he believes to be the second coming of christ, which as far as I've understood begins with some type of unrest in the middle east as in revelations.

No, I'm not scared of dying. I should have dyed two years ago but God gave me a second chance. I have faced the angel of death and have no fear of him. I don't look at life like every day may be my last. You see every day is one more day I have been given, one more gift. When it is my time to go I will walk tall and hold my head high for I have live a life most people can only dream about.

I am not afraid of dying because I know I will be with the Lord. But that's not saying that I'm ready to die because I'm not. I don't think about each day as my last. As far as to what it will be like when I finally cross over, I believe it will be the most beautiful experience imaginable. As far as what is going to happen, well I'm going to see Jesus of coarse.

I haven't been scared for a while now. 8 years ago, I had an intercranial abcess, and literally had weeks to live if something wasn't done. I lived, and now realize that death is something that happens to everybody. Worrying about it won't change anything, so spend your energy on something you can affect, like worrying about the bus coming towards you when you want to cross the street. (basically, everyone's going to die, I just do what I can to make sure it's not going to happen right now)

It has its moments of being more real than others, but it's not the transition from this life to eternity that bothers me, it will be but in the twinkling of an eye, it's the process and preparations - the emotional aspects of knowing that you are closing out your own affairs. When you are secure in the Lord then you have no doubt what is going to happen and it does not become something one dwells on, but just knows that will come at its appointed time.

I believe that humans have 3 souls. One in Yesod 2 down here. When I die my lower soul will drop from me and go back to being a soul for plants and lower things. My middle soul will go back to my over soul until god pulls all souls back to him/herself. So am I scared of dying? No as I think I did it many times before.

I am not afraid of dying (I am afraid of pain before dying though).
I used to be an atheist. Over a period of time however, I grew convinced of the existence of the Christian God, and ultimately committed my life to Christ (e.g., see http://www.godsci.org/gs/chri/testimony/seek.html ).
Commiting my life to Christ has made death something to not be afraid of.
Once I die, I know that I will be with the Christian God in heaven.
Cordially,
John

I'm not particularly scared of dying, just because I choose not to dwell on it too much. I mean, it can't be avoided. Everyone goes through it. Why stress?
Anyways, I like to think that when we die, we become omniscient. That'd be pretty cool.

I dont think I am erally afraid of dying as much as I am afraid of what happens to the loved ones I leave behind. When I am dead I don't think I will feel anything, I will just cease to exist. The pain is in the hearts of those who love you and will miss you.

I don't fear dying at all. That's one of the good things about being a Christian, you don't need to fear dying! I don't fear it because I know that when I die I will be in a much better place.. praising my God and being with him forever and ever!! :-D
