People often forget they have brains when it comes to a topic such as hell. Oh, many persons will ponder on financial or other matters, but when hell is the subject they seem to prefer that someone else do the thinking. They may even push all hope of reasoning aside and declare, as one hell-fire believer did, that if he did not think the Bible taught a literal, red-hot, soul-scorching hell he would throw his Bible into the ash can. That is an extreme case. But it reflects a modern-day tendency to try to make God conform to man’s ideas of how things should be run.
Pagan religions are noted for teaching red-hot hells. The ancient Egyptians, Babylonians, Phoenicians, Persians, Grecians and Hindus taught flaming hells. The Buddhists teach a hell wherein people cook and sizzle in blazing kettles. Is the Bible hell as hot as the pagans paint theirs? The answer is NO.
This raises the question: Did Almighty God create such a place of torment? Well, what was God’s view when the Israelites, following the example of peoples who lived nearby, began to burn their children in fire? He explains in his Word: “They have built the high places of Topheth, which is in the valley of the son of Hinnom, in order to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire, a thing that I had not commanded and that had not come up into my heart.”—Jeremiah 7:31.
Think about this. If the idea of roasting people in fire had never come into God’s heart, does it seem reasonable that he created a fiery hell for those who do not serve him? The Bible says, “God is love.” (1 John 4:8) Would a loving God really torment people forever? Would you do so? Knowing of God’s love should move us to turn to his Word to find out just what hell is.

You can always get baptized. You shouldn't take the bible literally, as much of it was written in allegorical form. You DON'T have to attend a church to communicate with your God.....you can do that anywhere. IF your heart is sincere it doesn't matter if you're in church or a bowling alley.....God will hear your prayers. It would be best if you had friends that were on the same spiritual path as you, but they don't have to be baptized either (although it couldn't hurt).
Don't let any absolutists (you're going to Hell unless you're baptized) scare you with their indoctrination. Their view of Christianity and who goes to Heaven or Hell is SO narrow they'll try to shame you into baptism, a huge problem with "born again" folks. Remember, ONLY GOD KNOWS YOUR HEART. That's all you need to be concerned about.

Being baptised is a matter of showing the world or at least some people you know that an inward change has taking place in your heart.
Can't advise regarding the hell part, but it be simply. If you ashamed that you accepted Jesus into your heart, you probably won't make into heaven.
Mark 8:38 (Amplified)
For whoever is ashamed [here and now] of Me and My words in this adulterous (unfaithful) and [preeminently] sinful generation, of him will the Son of Man also be ashamed when He comes in the glory (splendor and majesty) of His Father with the holy angels.

The issue of baptism has split churches. Some denominations believe you MUST be baptised to enter heaven. Others believe it is not necessary, it is merely the state of hte heart.
What the Bible says is this:
Romans 10:9 -- That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
That's it! That's all it takes! You're not "doing" anything; you're simply calling out to God, trusting him to do it for you. That's salvation. With your whole being you embrace God setting things right, and then you say it, right out loud: "God has set everything right between him and me!"

The question of baptism is not one of salvation but rather one of obedience and submission unto the Lord.
Baptism is the first command given and expected of a disciple of Christ.
Even Christ was baptized and it was not for sin , or a show of faith or a public demonstration of his faith in God. He answers the question like this. In the third chapter of Matthew
13. Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to be baptized by John.
14. But John tried to deter him, saying, "I need to be baptized by you, and do you come to me?"
15. Jesus replied, "Let it be so now; it is proper for us to do this to fulfill all righteousness."
This shows us why Christ was baptized should we do any less??
It is not baptism that will send you to hell it will be a hard heart that refuses to obey what Gods asks of you.
As a minister I will agree with you the bible is not a complete history yet there is everything within its pages to show us his plan of salvation.
Go to my profile and E me. It would be a joy to hear from you and possibly study together via the net.

NO, but what will cause a person to go to hell is NOT putting their total trust in Jesus to save them from God's wrath on judgement day.

Lots of people believe in God. Even the demons believe and they tremble.
"there is none righteous, no not one, all have turned astray."
Romans 3
You don't need to be baptized unless you are a disciple of Jesus Christ. You cannot be a disciple of Jesus Christ until you realize that you're not a overall good person, are not loyal, and have faith in nothing that has any authority or power in the Universe.
Why should you believe the Bible, you don't want to follow Jesus, he says all are born in sin...
All people who go to hell go because they are sinners, and because they deserve judgement because they are an offense to a Holy God.
Believers are baptized to identify themselves with Christ, to be like Him in His death and resurrection.
to leave sin and self behind and to follow Him no matter what the cost. That's why we go to church, to learn, pray, enjoy the company of other believers who have given up everything to follow Christ.
Christ's substitutionary blood gives believers the grounds to enter into heaven, to be with our Triune God in all of His Holiness.

NO, you will not go to hell because of not being baptized, but considering that you choose to take the bible in bits and pieces, throwing out what you do not care to heed, you could not possibly believe in the very GOD , you state that you believe in.
For GOD said, either you believe it all, or you believe nothing.
Revelations says it a bit differently, same outcome, fence sitters are worthy of vomiting out of GODs mouth. Either come out for me or against me. Lukewarm is nausious

Whoever told you that you had to be baptised to go to heaven is full of crap. And they need to read the bible, because that have something wrong with them. All you have to do is ask Jesus into your heart and confess your sins to him. Baptism is only an outward showing of an inward condition. It is a physical means of displaying your faith.

Well, baptism doesn't save.
In the first place no one goes to heaven unless they are born again, saved.
Here's what the bible says (and not religion or men):
Rom 3:10 according as it has been written, "There is not a righteous one, not even one!"
Rom 3:11 "There is not one understanding; there is not one seeking God."
Rom 3:12 All turned away, they became worthless together, not one is doing goodness, not so much as one!"
One must be born again:
Joh 3:3 Jesus answered and said to him, Truly, truly, I say to you, If one is not generated from above, he is not able to see the kingdom of God.
Joh 3:4 Nicodemus said to Him, How is a man able to be generated, being old? He is not able to enter into his mother's womb a second time and be born?
Joh 3:5 Jesus answered, Truly, truly, I say to you, If one is not generated out of water and Spirit, he is not able to enter into the kingdom of God.
There is only one thing that saves and it is JESUS:
John 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father (heaven) except through Me.
Act 13:38 Then let it be known to you, men, brothers, that through this One remission of sin is announced to you.
Act 13:39 And everyone believing in this One is justified from all things which you could not be justified by the Law of Moses.
And we are not saved by what good we do or don't do. Hell will be filled with good people.
(LITV) knowing that a man is not justified by works of Law, but that it is through faith in Jesus Christ (we also believed into Christ Jesus, that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of Law, because all flesh will not be justified by works of Law (good deeds)).
Eph 2:8 For by grace you are saved, through faith, and this not of yourselves; it is the gift of God;
Eph 2:9 not of works, that not anyone should boast;
This is how one is saved (will go to heaven)
Rom 10:9 Because if you confess the Lord Jesus with your mouth, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
Rom 10:10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth one confesses unto salvation.
In the end, if you do trully believe in God seek Him with all your heart, you will find out that the Bible IS HIS WORD and no less, so true and so perfect that it will outlast this world:
Mat 24:35 The heaven and the earth will pass away, but My Words will not pass away, never!
You can still be baptised to please the Lord.
But if you go to hell it will because you chose not to believe in the word of God and live it throught.
