I have had some muslim friends and they were just wonderful though I am a christian. KNow there is a difference between a true muslim and an extremist muslim. Those we always here about are the extremists and they don't represent their religion at all. Just like all the extremists in all religions they do bad extreme things that is why we see them everywhere, but know they are a minority. A true muslim is not as such and one gains to know them.
And by the way if you do your research well and deep you will find out that the 911 crashes were payed by the US government. To create fear so that the people will eventually give up their rights. I could right you pages and pages of all I have discovered in the deep dark but the muslims are not to blame here, they were payed extremist puppets, by the USA.

Because we are programmed to do so. Thousands of years ago, when our ancestors were wandering around on the savannah, they had a certain survival instinct. That instinct contimues till this day. If we see something that is different we tend to be suspicious until we can confirm that the something is harmless. It is how early man survived. Eventually we grouped things into those that were familiar and harmless and those that are not familiar and arouses suspicion. We do the same thing with people. When two different tribes meet, they do not tend to greet each other with open arms. They greet each other with caution. When we see one individual of a tribe do something we consider bad, we tend to attribute the bad behavior to the whole tribe. We do so out of fear. The key to ending hatred against Muslims or any other group is to rise above your primitive instincts and see each person as an individual. Condemn the terrorist, or even a group whose common goal is terrorism, without condeming the greater group of people they claim to represent.

I don't hate anyone. However, I will be honest with you. I would like to hate some people, I guess that is just the sin in me. I have to ask Jesus Christ for the power to love others. Not only to love them, but to love them as he loved them. Ya see, it doesn't matter if the terrorists are "true" Muslims, or if what they do is "true" Islam...you can't show me one example in the world today where Christians are running around blowing themselves up and taking a couple hundred others with them. If you can show me this example, it would shock me. And no, I don't want to hear about something that happened hundreds of years ago called the "crusades", I have already said, "true" Christians would not do such things. However, back to my original point about loving as Christ loved, this is where the terrorists and "true" Christians differ. The terrorists say "kill", and Jesus said, "die". A true Christian would give up his own life for the life of another (love), but the terrorists kill theirselves just to kill others (hate). This is where the question originally started. Why do so many people hate Muslims. This is a ridiculous question. You watch the world events of today and that is what you come up with? Bombing after bombing after bombing perpetrated by these terrorist groups and you wonder why so many people hate Muslims? Are you kidding? My question is, why do these terrorists hate so many people? If that is the best conclusion you can come up with after watching world events, you truly must have blinders on. I don't believe it is ok to hate anyone, even the terrorists, but come on man, isn't it somewhat acceptable that others would be a little confused about who to be at least "angry" with?

Because it's the "thing to do" There will always be a group of people that gets systematically picked on by the entire U.S. (or any other country). There are countries where Christians are hated. There are countries where Jews are hated. There are countries where Buddhists are hated. There are places where athiests are hated. No matter where you go, there will always be a religious group that is hated and mistreated. It is a sad fact of life. This will never change until people change, unfortunately.

Intelligent people understand that not all Muslims are responsible for the extremist actions of a few. The people who hate Muslims are probably the same ones who hate Blacks, Jews and other groups of people who are not like themselves. Now the focus has shifted to Muslims because they feel they have an excuse to vent their ignorance.

I can sympathize. A lot of people hate Catholics in these posts, too, and, like Muslims, most of the press they get is bad. Let's face it: we're minorities, and not much has changed in the human condition since this country began. It's not fair, but it is the way it is. Just be patient and loving in your responses, and hopefully people will come around and see that not everything the media feeds them is 100% truth.

When will Muslims stand up and denounce what happened on 9/11? I have seen Muslims dance in the streets when that stuff happened. I have yet to meet a Muslim that does not sympathize with the terrorists. I would like to see them unite with the United States and Christians as brothers.. instead of passing the buck to sympathetic terrorist groups that intend to kill us.

I think it's mainly ignorance and partly because people will think differently of them if they don't hate the people who did harm to America. However, I don't care what people think and I don't hate anyone. Those who hate, I pity because they need to learn about the object of hate before making the decision to hate, and not just follow what the rest of the world is doing.

Government propoganda. Knowing that that isn't the cause of all world ills, most start there. Propoganda is also an excellent vehicle for continued oppression and repression of groups of people AND ideas.
