Both sound good but I would probably add some muscle toning exercises in there to tone the belly you want to trim. The walking and cycling is great for overall weight loss but the toning exercises will zero in on the zones of your body that need to get firmed up and therefore trimmed. Join a class or get a fitness DVD (like Denise Austin). Pilates would also be good because there is a lot of muscle toning in the exercises. Get some weights (3-5lbs) to get the fat burning speed up. The more muscles you tone and build, the faster the fat burns.

Tread mill. Bikes are the most efficient machine man has made thus people tend to peddle a little and go far. They also never quit get their heart rate up and keep it up to where it should be. Those who are not serious about cycling tend to ride only when the weather is nice thus you will not work out. If you have not learned how to cycle correctly buying a bike may not be the route to go. Also for a good bike with proper gear, helmet shoes, pants, shirt, gloves will cost you over a 1K. A tread mill will get your heart rate up better and help you to keep it there. Make sure you get a heart rate monitor that straps to you not just the hand holds on the tread mill. Good luck and have fun!!

Any type of cardio activity is ideal, such as what your already doing, cycling/treadmil. You've answered your own question somewhat, it doesn't really matter as long as you maintain a healthy diet and are exercising 5-6 days a week.

I'd suggest alternating them, that way you won't have to drop either. Eat clean, watching your sugar, salt and empty carb calories. I'd also suggest weight lifting 3 times a week. It's not possible to spot reduce. If you're a guy, your stomach was the first place that you started putting fat on and it will be the last place that it will come off.. Get into regular exercise and eating healthy for the long term. Good luck.

the treadmill and cycling work different areas of your body... but if you wanna drop one of them, drop the cycling...

for your belly, work your abs... that'll help you tone it up and lose some of the extra weight there..

a healthy diet is 70% of your overall health and exercise is the other 30%... if you exercise 30 minutes 5 times a week, it'll help you lose weight

pick up a 5 or 10 pound weight at the gym and visualize that weight coming off holding the weight in your hands helps bring home just how heavy even 5 pounds of extra fat can be
