How would you feel to be challenged by an idiot? It's not up to anybody to prove anything to you. You will believe what you want to believe. Who cares? Jesus. You seem to searching for something. Do you know what it is? Why did you ask this question? Have you been really wondering why? Who are these Christians you speak of? Did they really say people who challenge God will go to hell? A real Christian wouldn't say something like that. They know better. What is it that you need proven to you? That Christians get pissed then say people will go to hell? What?

It's kinda' like insulting one's mother to some of them... surely you can understand that? But, generally, it's the more immature, (or new), Christians that get so insulted.
And... God doesn't condemn his children, they choose to condemn themselves by their chosen lifestyles. To be forgiven, one must "ask" for forgiveness, and then repent of their sinful ways... it's not automatic. God gives everyone a choice, a free will. Knowing the consequences, people still make the wrong choices and, unfortunately, that only leads to one place... and for all eternity! Every one of God's rules, laws, and judgments for mankind are in the Bible. That's why we have it. Just because "you" don't believe in God, or just because you never open the Bible, is not an excuse!
Those who do not believe, might as well make, (and get), everything they can out of this life here and now while on earth, because for them this is their only reward!
Eternity waits for us all... one way or another - think about it.
To those who don't believe I ask: What if you're wrong?

Not all Christians get mad when challenged.
Challenging God is not what sends a person to hell.
God is forgiving. He gave rules to follow (for our own good) and we break them, we all sin, we all make mistakes. God loved us so much he sent Jesus to die for us, so that his blood would cover our sin and we could go to heaven even though we all sin.
I know what you mean about it feeling like high school, I feel that way, too. People lump me in with other "Christians", and I feel they are making fun of me. Its like name calling, because the non-Christians do not get what the Christians are saying, or maybe had a bad experience with some Christians and now they think we are all the same.
I can not prove to you you are wrong. Just as you can not prove I am either. I do not want to judge you, that is Gods job not mine.
Not accepting Gods free gift of salvation is how a person goes to Hell. That is a matter between you and God if you believe in Him or not. It is not my plan to force you to believe anything, how could I? You are free to believe or not. I only want to tell you your options, free choice is yours. I do not mind you challenging me. Please ask questions!

I honestly think it's because these "christians" are insecure with their faith. The fact is, they can't prove that an agnostic, or whoever else's religion is wrong. I am a christian, as in I believe in Jesus Christ, but I don't ever tell someone their faith is wrong just because I don't have the same views as them. Baptists, methodists, etc. believe that going to church is he only way to get closer to God, and that if you don't go every sunday, you go to hell. They are WRONG. Going to church a million times doesn't make you any more spritual than going to Mcdonalds a million times makes you a hamburger. People who challenge Christains should not get their heads bitten off just because these "christians" don't know squat about God or Faith.

I have never got mad by being challenged. If i at least tried to get someone to see my belief and they still don't want to believe me after points I make then fine. It seems there is no point in telling you how I can prove to you I'm right. Or anyone else trying either. Who said anything about judging you? Just because you prove something doesn't mean you are judging the person your explaining too. Whether you get across to them or not.

I think this happens with people of any worldview.
I come across a fair number of agnostics and atheists who get mad at Christians...
In response to your question...
God doesnt send people to hell regardless of what they did.
Hell provides the Just negative consequences (in eternity) for the evil/ harm the person committed during their life on earth.
Cordially,
John

I'm not going to generalize and say my answer speaks for all Christians or even all Christians that get upset when challenged, but more often than not, people who get really upset when their beliefs are challenged are insecure in their beliefs and instead of confidently refuting the challenge, attack the person making the challenge because they have nothing to back themselves up.

It's not just Christians. Jews, members of Islam, even Buddhist can get pissed when challenged. People like that have a limited exposure to other religious beliefs. They are not opening themselves up to the possibilities. All religions teach that we must let others beileve what they want. Jesus said...There are men who will hear my words and believe not, I judge them not.

Unfortunately in this society, many so called "christitans" did injustice to how the Christians are perceived and behaved in the mainstream American. Thanks to so called "fundamental Christians," many American view Christians as judgemental, closed minded, hypocritical and moralistic. People like Reverend Farrel, Pat Robertson, Jim Baker, Al Sharpton and many Catholic priests (who got convicted of sexual molestations) did terrible injustice. Christians are flawed people. It is the Grace of God that makes us saved, not based on our work or performance. Understanding that one principle should make Chrisitians humble, not arrogant.
Having said that if Christians get challenged, I think that is good. That means people are interested. Since the agenda of Christianity is not for selfish moralistic agenda, but for God, knowing some people wants to know more about Jesus, should be more welcoming. So in simple terms, if you think Christians gets pissed when they get challenged, they may not understand what is to be like Christians..

No child goes to HELL! Only a person of ability to choose will/can be judged. He is not sending anyione to hell unless they choose it for themselves.
I am sorry to hear you feel picked on or judged.. Christian Loved demands our outreach be without judgment. Not all of us are capable in finding the right way to do this. I am sure those you have encountered that made you feel this way did not mean for it to turn out so. They "Christians" really only want to share what they honestly believe in as the way to save your life & soul.
