Is a size 6 thin, average or big for a 5'3" 23 year old? I've lost 30 lbs, but when I look in the mirror I can't tell that I look any different from when I started even though I've gone from a size 13 down to a size 6. So I can't really tell if I'm thin or not.... Thanks in advance.

Okay... Everyone keeps asking how I lost. I'm doing Weight Watchers. IT'S AWESOME!!!! It works so well and it doesn't tell you what you can and can't eat (on the flex plan). If you haven't tried it, you really should. I lost 5 pounds the first week. My mom went on it and lost 10 lbs the first week and a half. :-) Gotta do some cardio too!!!! TRY IT!!!!!!

A size 6 will be thin for someone 5'3''. I am 5'0'' and105 and wear a petite 6. I look quite thin and many people tell me I look sick. Don't lose any more weight. An 8 might be even better. But eat nutritiously. That's the main thing including all the food groups. You can always look up size weight charts on the net and see where you fall.

You are doing GREAT! Honest. The reason why you dont notice it as much is because you see yourself everyday. If you ask someone who's seen you after a while (like a couple of months) they'll tell you right off the bat that you've lost weight. Plus, you're clothes must be much looser now with 30 lbs (wow) off! A size 6 is perfect. Don't be hard on yourself and dont fall into the celebrity trap. Those stickthin celebs are just skin and bones. It looks gross if you look at their rib cages bulging out and the shoulder bones jutting out of their sides. Yuck.
You are a healthy size 6 and that's awsome that you did it.
If you want you can give me some tips in how you did it...

I dont' ever remember being a size 6!! Ohh to dream! Congrats on the weight loss - I'm 5'4" and I would have to say a you being a 6 is thin. And most likely just right for you! Don't stress it though or make a big issue of wondering if it's "thin" enough, live life. have fun. feel comfortable in yourself.

You're about the same size as me and I would consider this average...definately not overweight...and not too thin. Congrats at losing the weight. Us women are way too hard on ourselves and I bet that everyone else you know can really tell that you have made a difference.

Sounds like a healthy slender weight to me. Not too thin, but definitely not overweight. You probably cannot tell how different you look because the change came so gradually. Congrats on the weight loss!

Well, it's a big change obviously. Size 6 is between thin and average for me.
Honey, you said that you can't tell if you look different from when you started. I think you might have eating disorder ( anorexia) that's why you can't see a big change like that.

size 6 is very average for your age and height. I am the same height but 6 years older and weight 112lbs. They say 120 is a perfect weight. Keep up the good work!!!!

I'm the same height as you and my weight goes from 113-120. My doctor doesn't say anything unless I fall below 110.
No, I don't have an eating disorder. I try to eat healthy foods and stay away from the junk. I also exercise on a regular basis.
