Im an athlete, i run cross country and track. I dedicate alot of my time to these though. I have guys that like me...but i dont really feel anything there, so i move on. Guys that i do like are actually to young...like 2 years younger lol, i dont like the idea of dating younger guys.Even though the older ones seem to have problems. I like guys that like to have fun...pssh good luck finding a guy like that.

If guys are liking you, then it is only a matter of time before you meet the right one - that you can like back. Don't despair, you're still very young but mature enough to make wise decisions and not just settle for any guy that doesn't convince you.

There's nothing wrong with dating a younger guy. Yes, some guys are intimidated and hate to be turned down. It's a pride thing. Go places with your girlfriends that are nice like church, and not bars!!!! You may meet the wrong guy at a bar. I've seen too many meet the worst kind you can imagine at one.
You may even meet one at a track meet and have a lot in common. Just don't panic, the right one will come along in the most surprising way. Have fun.

Some Guys cant stand a girl that has an attitude problem all the time. Also some guys may feel intimidated because they may feel u are a better athlete. They may feel inferior. Not all older men have problems. They may think a girl may not like them because of the way the look.

Why would they be intimadated? Guys who are 17 like to have fun, guys of all ages love to have fun. Maybe you're intimadated by older guys because they are already experienced a little. So you like younger ones because you think they are a little less mature than the older boys.
But talk to one of the guys who is 17 on the Crosscountry team, that's a start, plus you already have running as a hobby or sport in common, so the conversation has a starting point.

The problem is with you not them. If you never let your self open up to the possibilities that could be then you will remain by yourself. You think older guys have problems, well they are not the only ones. You have problems too, if you didn't, you would not be alone. Stop thinking about things so much, if you like someone then go for it, who care if they are younger or not. Unpack your baggage and put it away, it will not help you if you want to find someone, trust me.

A lot of guys believe that hardcore sporty chicks are not going to be as "girly" as the average girl. Yeah some are intimidated, but maybe others just think because you're into supposedly "guy" things that you will be more like a guy. I'd just try to show your more feminine side to the guys you're interested in, don't be ditzy but show them the softer side.

Not all guys your age or older are intimidated, just the ones you have run across (no pun intended). You seem like a good kid (I can call you that cause your a year older than my kid) just keep doing what you like and just remember this:
Men like confident women, boys don't.
