not unless he becomes emancipated by a court, and that doesn't mean it will be financed by the government, just that you are responsible for yourself. unless you are dealing with some REALLY bad things it isn't going to happen. you would also have a ton of other problems even if you could support yourself, nobody would rent to a teenager, too irresponsible and unreliable not to mention no credit. juding from all the runaway teens that live on the street and eat out of dumpsters i'd say NO.

In Canada the government will only fund someone under age if the parent has said that they have kicked them out of the house. In most cases too, the person would be put into foster care.

I think you either have to be graduated, emancipated or married with parent's consent, or old enough and married without it in order to live by yourself legally. And I am pretty sure that parents would have to sign a rental lease. (For anyone under 18 maybe cannot) I think these are individual state laws and maybe even government laws, so I do not think so.

If you are disabled and get imancipated. But one usually cancels out the other. You usually have to prove you can take care of yourself, which means the government can't do it for you. Guess you can't have your cake and eat it too.

Are you a single parent? Go to your local Department of Social Services. they are going to want to know why you are living on your own. I wish you the best of luck!
