There is this guy i've known for about a year, and he's always had a thing for me--but I really, really don't like him. He KEEPS asking me out, and I KEEP telling him no, and I've had SO many people tell him that I don't like him, but he keeps going. I hate being mean to people, and I have made it infinitely clear that I DON'T like him AT ALL but he WON'T STOP!! What can I do??

I don't like being mean to people either or hurting their feelings, but it sounds like he maybe stalking you.....if it has been a year and you and other people have told him over and over and over again that you don't like him and he has not gotton the message by now...you are going to have to step things up a little bit. You should not have any more contact what so ever no talking on the phone, no letters, etc...it is obvious you cannot be friends because he is not going to stop. Telling him flat out no has not worked.....other people telling him has not worked. I don't know how old you are but i would speak to my parents about it and if they cant help or stop him i would talk to the police...before things get out of control.....GOOD LUCK ----ella

Tell him how you feel. But of course in a nice way, just tell him you only want to be friends and nothing more. Plus, you have to show it. Actions speak louder than words, limit your conversations, avoid being alone with him and talk to him about your crushes. How this guy is so cute, stuff like that so he'd get the message. You can also set him up with your girlfriend or declining to his gifts and also avoid asking favors. (:

that's happened to me. unfortunately, the only way i could get the point across was to ignore him. i didn't like hurting him and being mean to him, but it made me extremely uncomfortable knowing he liked me. so i just ignored him.

That's not possible. Feelings aren't a light switch that you can turn off and on.

have a lawyer talk to him, you do not have to press charges for sexual harassment, but have a lawyer tell him to stop, and he probable will.
