Well, lets see, even God did dream interpretation, so I guess we can discern something from that.
Put a notebook (i.e., dream journal by the bed or on the floor, grab it first thing when you wake up before doing ANYTHING even going to the bathroom) otherwise dreams are like mist and fade fast.
Sometimes you get lucky and remember them later in the day, but you can never count on it. The best way to interpret dreams is to be "open" and accepting to possiblities. Sorry, but usually your just gifted that way. Some can learn it, I recommend going to your local library and getting books on "dream interpretation."
flying - freedom, independance
water - binding, something holding you back, a mystery
death - a change, move
etc.

ok well ill let you in on a secret. there is a way but the path is long and arduous. and the laugh about it is that on this path just before you get to the point of actually being able to accomplish this feat you find out the spiritual reason why its not necessary! its a bad joke but sadly a true one. but there are ways to glean information from where you are now. first to remember dreams the best foolproof way of remembering dreams is to have a recorder or a notebook handy and the second you wake up at any time in the middle of the night or morning immediatly talk about what your remembering at that point. it works sporadically at first but your sub con catches on and makes it easier. the second you start thinking of anything else like "im hungry i wonder how much cereal is left?" poof your dreams are gone. there is reasons for this but would take more reading then you would want at this time. but my best advice in this area is to simply study and research what you can on lucid dreams you may not understand why right now but later youll thank me. good luck i hope i helped

When I had to write a paper many years ago on dreams, we were told to put a pen and paper on the nightstand. The minute you wake up jot down every thing you can remember about your dream. Most of the time they diden't make alot of sense to me, but after weeks of doing this,it became easier to understand them..Now many years have passed, and I keep a diary of my dreams.Try this as I did,by having a everyday diary and a dream diary, then once a month compare the two......Sweet Dreams.

One way to find out if you are one of the few who are able to do that is by having a dream journal. Write down all the dreams that you remember vividly...and most of all the ones that make you wonder if it was something that might happen in the future.
I dreamed about my dad's passing about two years in advance. He was standing next to his bed and he fell flat on his back...and died right there....and I tried to help so that he wouldn't hurt himself. One morning two years later, I received a call from my Mom at 6:00 a.m. she sounded so devastated- and I knew something happened to my dad, before she even told me. Lo and behold he died exactly the way it happened in my dream. I wrote this dream down in my journal, which is why I'm positive it was to prepare me for one of the worst phone calls of my life. Prior to my brother's death I also had a dream...in fact I dreamed it three times the week before he committed suicide....but back then I didn't understand any of it...but because of that I now pay more attention to my dreams. Before we purchased our house I had a lucid dream ....about this bay where a tsunami occured and I was right in all the chaos. ....One day I discovered this bay....5 minutes by foot from our house....the setting absolutely identical to what I have seen in my dream. Now I keep wondering whenever I go there, if my dream was something that happened in the past or something that will happen.

I believe that dreams can be away for God to speak to us when we are not listening for his instruction. The problem is not all dreams mean what they portray but sometimes they do and i speak from personal experience. I've had dreams where things actually happened and I've had dreams that didn't make sense you just need to know how to interpret them.

Keep a pad and pencil by your bed. When you wake up during the night or right after having a dream, write it down. You'll be surprised in the morning that you had this dream.

write them down when you wake up. Keep pad and pencil at bedside.
Someone said dreams have no value. If it;s God (and He DOES speak in dreams), then there is a reason.
My wife has a booklet where she wrote some dreams down that we believe God has spoken to her.

Contrary to popular opinion, few of us remember our dreams for more than 5 minuites after we wake up. Your dreams are made up of memory fragments pieced together by your brain. there is no future telling in it. there are no omens there is only percieved spirituality.
