Why do you think the word muslim goes with challenges? I may not be a muslim but I think the koran preaches goodness...and tells people how to face challenges faced in life. Islam does not create challenges for the modern contemporary world. Its just a seperate group that creates them..making it hard for other muslims ...they face discrimination at times.... I guess....

In a way, your question is an oxymoron. There are some secular countries that believe in Islam, but are not jihadist fundamentalists, that face many of the same problems you might. The big misunderstanding comes from the lack of knowledge that Christians have about Islam and it's variety of believers.

Because of 9/11, we have to worry about people hating us, I know that my sister and her best friend were called terrorists just because they wear the hijab. We also have to worry about violence because this girl in one of the high schools in my district got beaten by some girls in the girls bathroom for wearing the hijab. In addition to having our religion ridiculed and hated because of what a group of extremists have done. I think that the Muslim women who wear the hijab are getting the worst of it because they are so easy to pick out of a crowd.

discrimination from other cultures and races i guess. Take france and germany for example, they've banned women from wearing a vail (hajaab)....because they say they want to make everyone "equal".....which is quite ironic because nuns cover their heads so i dont c why their clothing isn't banned.
