Yes I have had Lasik and got it done from TLC in Chicago. Same doctor who did Tiger Woods. I could not be happier with my vision. I had it almost three years ago and I am 23. I would reccomend it to anyone. They take measurements of your eye and do all kinds of tests the day before. During the surgery they put a metal opener in your eye to keep it open. They make a tiny incision and peel back your cornea (this doesnt hurt at all). They then lazer the part of the eye that is causing the vision problems. The wierdest part was when they lazer the eye and you can smell your eye burning. Yucky! Thats pretty much it. You recover in a room for a while and they give you a bunch of drops and some granny shades to wear out. You can see better the minute they do the lazering. I was so excited I could read the clock on the wall!! If you have the money to spend I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

My son had both eyes done. Best thing he did.
His vision was 600/20. Now it is 20/20.
Cost a lot of money but for him it was worth
every penny.
Before he let any doctor touch his eyes he did
allot of checking to find the best and most experienced
Laser surgeon. Check the different clinics in your area
and asked them how many laser surgeries they have done.
What are the surgeons qualifications - are they fairly new
surgeons , are they affiliated with a hospital, what are their
credentials? Do they guarantee their work, do they have a good reputation, what equipment are they using, is it the newest, state of the art or just yesterdays equipment?
You pay a bit more for the best but your eyesight is all you got.
Result: After the surgery he read the instructions the doctor gave him on how to take care of his eyes for the next couple of weeks.
He had to use eye drops and wear dark glasses that also covered the side of his face, to protect them from bright light and no dust would irritate his eyes.

LAsik Surgery is very cheap in India. There is one company that is very famous in India that arranges lasik surgery for foreigners in India. They are called the Forerunners Healthcare.I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories.I have also read that they arrange financing for american and canadian patients as lasik surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. The cost savings are incredible. As a doctor i personally believe that your laser surgery can be easily handled in India as the quality of healthcare available here is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

I have not had laser eye procedure, but male friend has twice in 10 yrs. He's wearing glasses again. He wouldn't recommend it, I'm sure. Wasted his money twice.
