My thought is that it may already be taking place, or just the start of it. What one common enemy will the entire world have in common? The terrorist are striking in more and more places around the world. These people do not like to be constrained by rules set by civilized people. They would rather be free to perform any act they wish and in most cases it is the innocent general population in a city or country that have to suffer. These people will continue to spread chaos and fear throughout the world unless we as a whole we make the sacrifices to stop it. We got a glimpse of what people in other countries deal with on a daily basis in other countries on 9-11, lets not take our freedom for granted. Relish the freedom we have and honor those many men and women that laid down their lives four all of us. WW III, I just wonder if has indeed started.

Well, every 50 years seems like the magic number so my guess would be yes. I think it takes a few years to forget how bad a World War goes for everyone. Eventually some dictator decides to overtake a smaller country & keeping adding other countries until the USA, Britian & a couple of other countries step in & say NO!

WW III always is possible depending on the alliance of various players however I feel the biggest threat is from Nations like N. Korea and Iran achieving Nuclear power. The threat is not from direct attack from either of those two but the development of smaller bombs that will ultimately find their way into the United States and take out one or more major cities. If you are looking for probability of WW III though the Middle East is the place to look and Israel is certainly the trip wife. The world, I predict, though within ten years will see one or more major US cities see some form of Nuclear detonation within their boundaries. I pray and hope not but that's to me the danger of N. Korea or Iran having the bomb and technology and not a direct threat as in a launch from their land to ours which would bring swift and definite retaliation to the point that their country would cease to exist. It would be an invitation for us to attack them directly and it would be hard for Russia or China to then take their side. If though they funneled in a bomb it would be much harder to prove where it came from. The major exception to this whole scenario is Taiwan. China still claims Taiwan and if they move against Taiwan that could trigger a global conflict involving the US and China with other nations falling into place after that. How ever it happens you can guarantee yourself that it will be a Nuclear Conflict regardless of who it's players are and that prospect is totally unacceptable but unfortunately practical.

Who is there powerful enough to take on the U.N.? Not North Korea. They're a dying country spending all their money on weapons. Not Iran. If anyone it will be the terrorists, but it won't be an open war, it will be terrorist attacks and us taking other countries and driving them out, but until we start stereotyping muslims in the U.S. it is going to be hard to stop the terrorists.

There will never be a ww3, the next world war on a global scale will be one that we have to fight against beings not from this planet. I know it sound unbelievable but not one country will allow it after all the crap we went through in our history.

Doubtful. Due to massed nuclear weapons, many nations (France for example) would be afraid to go into war, and those who would go to war would die quickly. Before a world war could occur many nations would likely be annihilated and the many of the more powerful countries (US, UK, Russia, etc...) would break in and scare the antagonists into forfeiting, inducing war reparations and massive disarmament.
