If we were talking for awhile and I had previously asked you out, but you said you were unsure you could fufill your duties as a girlfriend and that your parents would not allow it. Yet we still talked a lot, I'm talking everyday for months. Then I said that I considered you my girlfriend and you did not say anything or object, what do you really mean?

maybe the girl is not yet ready to be someone's girlfriend...or to be your girlfriend perhaps. you guys dont know the pressure it creates when you court girls--esp when the feeling is not reciprocal. my advice to you is that you should never reveal to a girl your feelings unless you're sure that she feels the same way or is ready to have a relationship..bcoz that will only ruin your friendship. or you better stop asking her to be your girlfriend and first just cultivate a good friendship with her, instead of desperately trying hard to have her. show her first, as a friend, that you are a trustworthy and responsible person. give her time first to get to know you and your personality and maybe then she'll like you enough to take the risk of being your girlfriend. some guys are just so much in a hurry...and that's a total turnoff. u should give the girls time also. just do that!

Duties as a girlfriend? SEX you mean. I would be thinking that I'm not ready and you need to back off.

Never mind what she means -- what do YOU mean? You have no right to make assumptions about what she feels or believes or wants. That's not love, that's possessiveness and it's the wrong way to go, buddy.

You should just ask her - I mean if you are close enough to her to call her your girlfriend, you should be able to ask a simple question like that.

I would mean, I don't know how to break it to ya but I don't really consider you my bf. We girls have friends that are guys and they are just friends.
