Don't pressure her. Let her go when she wants to. Try to interest her with big girl panties. If you haven't bought the potty chair yet let her help pick it out. Don't scold for accidents that will cause set backs. Praise even the smallest accomplishment. Let her know you're excited for her. Make a big deal of it buy her a toy for going on the potty or try stickers. You can also buy a doll that pees and let her "teach" it to go potty. Just make sure that she is comfortable with doing it if she isn't ready it will not happen. Good luck!

Don't pressure her. Do be consistent with whatever you choose to do. I like having the child and parent and maybe siblings parade in celebration with pom-poms, etc. through the house when she does it correctly and" you will do it next time" when she wets her pants. You do get more bees with honey, you know! Just keep training pants on her, the thick ones so you won't have pee all overthe house, and not any of the pull ups or diapers because they are for babies and panties are for big girls and also she know that there is a change of feel which will help. You might sew a bow of her favorite color on the front and tell her not to get her pretty bow panties wet!

2 is too young. Don't listen to the people who brag that their child was potty trained at 2. In general, they are full of sh** and they were simply trained to put their child on the potty at specific times.

Age 3 all the way.

A child will begin going, if you give little hints, when they are ready.

If not by three, discuss this with your pediatrician. Do not chastise or otherwise demean your child.

We went out and bought many pairs of plain white underpants and only used diapers at night. I don't like the pullups, I think it makes potty training more difficult, since kids aren't feeling uncomfortable if they are wet. Our daughter was in preschool and we had a big supply of white undies there, too. What we did was take her to the potty every two hours (at day care, too), or when she asked to go, and she would get a mini marshmallow for going pee and two marshmallows for going poop. Getting marshmallow was a big deal in our house, since our kids don't get many sweets at all. We used lots of praise and reinforcement, and completely ignored accidents. Just cleaned her up and put dry clothes on her. Once my daughter was potty trained we had a "pretty panty" party with her friends and family members. We had cake and guests brought a gift of cute pretty underpants. We sent out invites & everything that said "You are invited to help us celebrate Anna becoming a BIG GIRL!" Sounds totally cheesy, but she was completely into it. She was accident free in about two weeks, including dry nights. This DID NOT work for our son, who could not care less about pretty underpants. We did the "hit the fruit loop" method with him.

I know that diapers are expensive but I acted like it was no big deal . My daughter wanted a bicycle and we told her that you had to potty in the potty and wear panties to get a big girl bike and within a week she was in panties and had no accidents for a whole day. Give her a goal. it worked for us!!!

when we finally bought a seat, a potty time book (for her to read when she was sitting) and a timer set to go off every 2 hours...the timer told her when to go to potty, not mommy and daddy, so it seemed more like she was doing it and net being TOLD to do it....flexing a little psychological muscle on her....

Don't Rush her. Let her do it on her own... I switched mine to Pull-ups with her favorite character panites over them and told her not to t-t on them because it would make them sad... That worked and now she is almost 3 and only wears a Pull-up at night. GOOD LUCK!!
