*Bites you*

But seriously, it seems to me that they are two clubs trying to get the most members. I really dont understand why they try to convert EVERYONE, when most non-believers only find conversion tactics to turn them even more away. The majority of peopel in the world dont care about religion that much, and are mostly concerned with their own lives. If they really feel a need to find spirituallity, then they will go look on their own, but people saying "Join us Join us or you will burn" just makes them look foolish, arrogant and the complete opposite of what people are looking for.

No.
Statistically speaking, the most violent group of peoples were the Shamanist Mongolians of the 13th and 14th Century.

To this day Kiev, Ukraine has a memorial day, recognizing the Mongol invasion and the massacre of every man, woman and child in the city. The only survivors were a handful of Monks that hid deep in the catacombs.
Two years afterward, the Pope sent an emmisary to Kiev and the entire countryside was still littered with the bones of the dead for miles and miles.
The Mongols also massacred the city of Baghdad.
This is just a couple of examples of the devastation.
The Christians and Muslims have never wiped out such high percentages of vast populations.

Religions which dictate how and what people should think result in conflict, wars, pain and suffering. The whole "missionary" thing of converting others is sick. Why do some people get satisfaction over converting the thoughts of others? Can't you be satisfying in your own beliefs? Why must you convert others to further justify your religion?

Philosophies are better, such as Buddhism. They offer guidelines on living a responsible life yet do not mandate you go to church every week, convert others, etc.

People have the freedom to change religions. If you are unhappy with yours then change to another.

yeah you are somewhat right but in both religions there are some people who are disgraces to the the entier religion as a whole. therefore eveyone thinks that way. but it is not true. Its just these 2 religions are the biggest religion of the world. So we have alot of different sects vise ver sa. It just these two are in the media alot. its like a celebrities if they do something ordinary everyone points at them since they are more open to public. But you should also think about what is provoking all these conflicts and for the most part its another group which isn`t Islamic or christan.

No they are not the only ones who fight each other or fight for that matter. When people believe deeply in something like a religion they sometimes are willing to die for it take other peoples lives in the name of it. It was going on long before Christians and Muslims. For example King Tuts father all of the sudden decided to change the state God. It didn't go over to well with the priests (they collected the offerings after all) so eventually he and his wife died (prematurly) and the old priests convinced a ten year old boy the old ways were better. They changed his name earased most references to his parents and went on like they had never lived. By the way King Tuts 'rents were the first people I know of to advicate worshipping only one God. It's been going on as long as there has been religion. P.S. I love your grammer and spelling it nicely matches mine! People take that crap way to seriously on here. Like you really care how to phrase a sentance correctly when you are trying to get a point across.

Nope. Do some research outside of television, and you'll find fighting from many religions, and faith groups all over the world.

People seem to think that what effects the United States the most is what effects the world the most. There is existance beyond CNN. There is a entire world of conflict going on beyond the 'war on terrorism'.

good day it took 5 responses before you purchased the No authentic Scotsman fallacy! That should be a list. i have under no circumstances considered it bypass previous 3 before. Then we get the vapid excuse of it being political. Which political celebration needed Rudolph to blow up gay nightclubs? yet sure you're top (Ted ok can be a stretch to be person-pleasant, yet there are a great number of others). some thing - be it any faith or celebration or reason - which has the skill of being considered as better significant than human existence can and maximum in all probability will bring about terrorism in its call. Jingoistic blind patriotism is purely as undesirable and unsafe, as is entire allegiance to a celebration or chief. it truly is yet another moral great thing about humanistic ethics like utilitarianism - no longer some thing is better significant than the convenience to humanity as an entire. under no circumstances heard of Buddhist terrorists? Tibet contained in the perfect couple of moths. under no circumstances heard of Hindu terrorists? look on the slaughter of Indian Muslims by technique of Hindu extremists (vice versa for sure). Wiccan/Pagan? none spring to suggestions in spite of the indisputable fact that i ought to look it up as i'm positive some exist - yet so few human beings actual position self belief in that stuff as some thing except interesting that it truly is a small pool who ought to - plus "pagans" are so disparate that any celebration may be no authentic scotsmanned to demise becayse the wrongdoer did not persist with precisely that sort of obscurantist arcana.

I won't answer your question, but will comment on the fact that I laughed harder than I have in awhile when I read it. Though your premise is misinformed, you seemed to be sincere...that so many problems are caused by the violence of both Christianity and Muslims (I've yet to see the ravenous attacks of organized Christian terrorists who maraud for the sake of Jesus). Then you end your plea with a nice and loud "BITE ME!"
HA ha! Way to show us Christians how to act!

Don't know about Muslims, but well meaning Christians throughout history have believed they are doing non-believers a favor by actively working to convert them, and thus save them from eternal damnation. Really.

Unfortunately, some have not been so enthusiastic about being converted.

The big dogs on the block always fight the fiercest battles. If druidism and taoism were the predominant religons in the world then they would have all the gun and food and water to fight over instead of us.
