My basis for the question is this:
1) Evolutionary Theory is (admittedly) only 75 -80% supported by evidence.
2) Allopathic medicine is not evn 15% supported by evidence(JAMA April 1996)
3) Both are based on biology, chemistry, etc.
I personally subscribe to both Evolutionary Theory and medicine, with certain acceptions. I simply wonder how some one can be a creationist and still justify taking their kids to the doctor, with at least 6 times less evidence supporting that second choice? If you do not have an intelligent argument, please do not simply disagree with the premises, they are factual. And no "it's just a theory" arguments, it just shows that you are ignorant of the difference between a theory and an hypothesis.

No one has seen a "creation" happen either. Most medicine is purely theory based, and many drugs work no better than placebo. And finally, there are many formas of transitionary animals, such as the Dipnoans and Coelacanths.

These are well supported facts, not some philosophical assertions to be agreed or disagreed with. You're welcome for the answer points, now run along.

An hypothesis as a point to be tested. A theory is a system of thought by which scientists attempt to order and explain established FACTS. Whether or not anything is "acceptible"is not anargument, just an emotional stance. Finally, I'm not saying one shouldn't go to the doctor- I'm saying that doing so necessarily indicates an admittance of disbelieving the arguments generally used against evolution. Unless some one can offer better arguments, I must maintain my position.

Because society and their upbringing has taught them to go the doctor when they are sick. Its like common sense almost. When they were kids their parents took them to the doctor they probably got treated or were given a prescription and felt better. Because of this they take their kids to the doctor when they are sick. People pick and choose what they want to believe. They may not base their decisions on scientific facts. It can go back to their upbringing and what they were raised to believe. Or what they have chosen to believe. This may not be the intelligent argument you're looking for, but its something I've noticed about people.Maybe that'll give you some answers.

1. To become a Theorom, a Hypothesis must be proven. The Hypothesis of Max-Evolution has NOT been proven (big bang, life from chemicals, no God).
2. The idea of Mini-Evolution (the flexibility of species in their environment and the ability to adapt) is NOT unacceptable to Creationists. It is acceptable under the idea of a Superior Designer.
3. Medicine is NOT based on Evolutionary hypothesis. It is based on the observations and experiments done in the fields of biology and chemistry, done in real time, not "looking back" at the beginning.
4. While there are some people that believe that "taking yourself to the doctor is a lapse in faith", not all of us believe that. Our bodies are clever machines that need care. A physician is to the human body what a mechanic is to a car. It is no more a "sin" to take yourself (or your child) to a physician than it is to take your car to a mechanic for a tune-up. Those with the special training do the job.
5.Nowhere in the Bible does it say "thou shalt not go to the doctor".

What a badly reasoned question. Medicine and doctor treatment is something that can be tested over and over and results can be gauged.
Evolution is a theory because no one can repeat what happened. saw it happened. And the evidence is not all availible.
There aren't any transitionary forms of animals. They have fully formed feathers or wings or scale or claws. No pre-bats with long fingers but didn't fly. No half lengthed neck pre-giraffe.

Man's wisdom is God's foolishness. If you love your child and they are sick take them to a doctor.

""Do creationists take their kids to the doctor when they are sick? ""
Yes, I do.
I am also aware that 86+ % of illnesses are psychosomatic.
