How does it compare with BBQ food and hot sun!?

Cervecería Cuauhtémoc Moctezuma, S.A. de C.V. makes a whole mess of different beers, including Dos Equis Amber and Dos Equis Special Lager. They also make Tecate, Sol, and Simpatico...all of which are a step above rusty tapwater.

Amber, in the brown bottle is Vienna Lager.
Special Lager in the green bottle is American macro Lager.
Neither one of them are really anything special, but they aren't bad...the amber being slightly better.

If you want that style of beer, (it pairs up nicely with all kinds of BBQ and summer food), then you are better off getting ***** Modelo or Sam Adams Boston Lager. Both are markedly better beers than Dos Equis, easily found, and reasonably priced.

Cheers.

Perfect! especially if you like a fuller bodied beer.
Dos Equis is more flavorful than american lager like Michelob-not quite as heavy as european beers but will stand up to the spice of the BBQ.

dos equis - puke
killians red-puke
rolling rock -puke

I hate all that college beer crap. Corona is always good, looks cool with lime also. I can drink a lot of busch light and still hang out with people before I fall out.

Dos XX makes a Light(green bottle) and a Dark(brown bottle). The light is crisp with little aftertaste(Corona) and the dark has a smooth hoppy taste close to a Lowenbrau Dark. Either one is a good choice.

For BBQ and hot sun I'd go with Corona and lime

I like it and I understand a lot of my Mexican friends actually like to take a sip of Dos Equis, then pour some Clamato or tomato juice in and keep mixing it up....I don't know about that; I like mine super cold and straight up!

I don't like it.
At BBQ's in the sun I drink New Castle Brown Ale or Beck's.

Why Mexican? Why not Yeungling? It's one of the oldest beers in America; made in Pennsylvania. It has a good clean crisp taste and keeps its cool.

I like it but its best with salt and lime. It's a very light tasting beer. One of my favorites.
