Sometimes they're just lying inside the neck cavity (or sometimes in the other end, LOL) and sometimes they're in a plastic or kind of paper wraper inside the chicken. Sometimes the neck is in there with the giblets and sometimes the giblets aren't packed with the chicken at all. When you're washing the chicken before cooking it just reach inside the neck cavity and also the other end to be sure there's nothing loose in there, then rinse both cavities out and pat dry with a paper towel before preparing to cook.

Good luck!

Removing the giblets means you have to remove the internal organs. It's pretty obvious.

Just to add this: nobody considers that someone will start from a live chicken. LOL.

giblets are the innards of something (usually a chicken) and now days they come in a nice neat package that you can remove out of the carcass of the chicken. It's typically used in stocks, and the like. You still want to wash out the chicken, turkey that you are cooking really well.

If you buy a chicken from a grocery store, the giblets will either be already removed, or they will be packaged for you in the cavity of the bird.

Couldn't tell ya..LOL..heard of Turkey w/ giblet gravy, but probably don't want to know. If a part of a chicken is going to be a giblet (or nugget) we all know what part that's going to be. LOL

the giblets are in a bag where the neck should be. Reach in and grab the bag and do whatever you want with it. Makes good gravy.

Usually they are in a bag inside the cavity where you would put stuffing if you're stuffing the chicken. Sometimes they aren't in a bag and you just have to reach in and pull them out, rinse out the cavity afterwards.
