They are my life, my dogs. I love them like they were my kids because they are innocent in this world. People judge and fear what they dont understand and I wish the world would realize that this is the year 2006 and that our society doesn't need anymore ignorance than what we already have to deal with. I feel I should stand up for the dogs who can't speak for themselves. I wish we could only be as understanding as some of these dogs, always willing to give love and be loyal. I love my dogs!

I was bitten by a dog as a child and had been afraid of dogs for about 30 years, My first dog I got about a year ago is a pit bull terrier mix, he is the most loving sweetest thing you have ever seen. I am always getting compliments on how well behaved he his..He is 16 months old and play with people 1 years old to 85 years old and they all love him... PITT BULLS RULE.....p.s. Mine doesn't know he is a dog he thinks he is a person....

YES!!! I have two rotties and they ARE MY BABIES!!! People are afraid of what they don't know or the bad that the news shows.The general public doesn't think that rotties can be gentle or loving,but they are-if the owners are.To me animals are a reflection of the people who own them.If good people own them then they have good animals.My two are males(brothers) and they are afraid of cats!They weigh 125 and 110pds the cat weighs 15pds.One of mine is a diabetic(about a year now)he has to have 2 shots of insulin a day.When he was first diagnosed I cried for a week.But so far with the insulin and a change in his food,we got his blood sugar down from 400 to 150.I hope they live VERY long lives!!

when my daughter moved back home she told me she had a dog, when I asked what kind of dog she said a 'rotty' I was very hesitant thinking oh my God that is a scary dog.
At first I was uneasy around the dog -- but now after 4 years I would never get any other dog.. he is the best dog I have ever owned and I have owned lots in my lifetime..
Still though ... I now if he doesnt like someone he can act pretty 'mean'
so its okay to like these dogs they are nice but one should be careful with them because I have seen my dogs' mean streak and he could probably seriously hurt someone if he wanted to...

I guess we are not the only ones with a wonderful Pitt/Rott cross. Ours is brindle and very large and a big teddy bear. He wouldnt hurt a fly. He's pretty old now but still as strong and lively when he needs to be. He has never been mean. Our mean dog is a Pug/MiniTerrier cross, 12 lbs of terror!

i don't really like pitt bulls, but that is not just because they are known to be mean(i think it is up to the owner to ultimately decide how their dog will act), but because i'm just not attracted to them. i like the target dog though, which is a bull terrier?? those are cute.
i'm not too fond of rotweilers..but that is because a neighbor of mine raised hers to be very rude. i'm sure their are some out there that can be sweet.
like i said, it's up to us to decide if we want our pets to be nice or mean.

I love my pittbulls and my rott brownie i have 3 pitts they are red nose,blue nose, nd brendal 2 of them are going to have puppies
