certain toothpastes are ok but i definitely would not reccomend using peoples toothpaste. it is toxic to humans as well as animals in large doses. and when you brush a dogs teeth he or she just wants to lick his mouth clean and ends up almost literally eating the toothpaste. use a special paste made just for dogs you can get at any pet supply store or vet

There are special tooth pastes for dogs. Be careful with using your toothpaste on a dog. Some animals are susceptable to floride poisoning, and even a small dose may be fatal. Always check with a vet before using products made for humans on your pet. It may save the pets life.

No. I watch Pet-Keeping with Marc Marone every Saturday on Fox and he says that you should always use doggy toothpaste that you can purchase from a pet store. He says that it is very unsafe to use our toothpaste on dogs because of the chemicals in it.

Using human toothpaste on pets is not recommended as they can sometimes contain chemicals and detergents that can cause stomach irritation, etc in your dog or cat.

Yes, there is nothing wrong with using human toothpaste on your dog... It is better, I suppose, than nothing.. I am surprised that your dog will let you brush its teeth.. Mine.. now and in the past.. never would let me do it
