You have to go to your pet shop/store to have it shaved. :)

Make sure you are feeding the cat a nutritious diet. Many foods contain mostly fillers and do not keep your cat healthy. Also, brushing you cat on a regular basis will cut down on the amount of hair left all over your house.

A certain amount of shedding is normal, excessive shedding is something to be concerned over.

You cannot stop a cat from shedding. It is NORMAL.. It is NATURAL.. They usually shed twice a year but all during the year, they can and do lose hair. For my kitty.. I have a hair brush and I brush her ALL the time... The cat really loves to be brushed and it gets off all the loose hair and keeps it from going on the floor and into the air...

Brush the cat frequently, and make sure the cat has the right diet. A diet poor in protiene could cause your cat to shed excessively, and cause the cats health to deteriorate. I would also suggest a veterinary checkup for the cat, at least annually.

YOU CANNOT! Buy a cat that is hairless.
If it is a long hair cat you can take it to the groomer and have him shaved, I do my Manecoon who has extremely long hair and gets hot in the house during the day. You have to constantly brush to reduce the shedding but it is what cats to.

If you mean that your cat is having its annual moult then the short answer is - you cant.

however there are ways and means to help minimize the amount of fur left lying around (and also reduce the incidences of your cat suffering from fur-balls) and that is regular brushing to remove loose fur.

I have 2 cats - one a short haired and one a medium haired - the medium haired one certainly appreciates the extra help with being combed or brushed regularly

High quality food & frequent grooming by you. Try a Zoom Groom... a plastic handheld grooming utensil that cats love & you will, too. Available at Petsmart & other pet stores. I like it MUCH better than the grooming glove, the combs, or the brushes. Does great.

Brush it's hair daily and give it a bath about once a month. Works for my kitty.
