absolutely not...spider webs are completely biodegradable ad harmless. in fact when a spider catches something in its web it eats the web then makes a new one. therefore your cat should not be harmed in any way other than the spider getting mad and possibly biting and they rarely do that just for their webs getting messed up, eaten , etc. if they did then they would be biting a lot of things. i would be glad my cat was doing it...i wouldnt have to dust for webs

I don't know if it's harmful or not, but the chance of the cat being bitten increases with time. I would suggest not letting the cat eat spider webs, and try to keep the spiders out of the house where possible. There are many good sprays available for this. Many animals get sick, or die needlessly due to spider bites, especially in the southern, and coastal states.

No. There is nothing toxic in a basic spider web.
The cat is eating them knowing he is destroying a spiders web. A cat will naturally kill bugs, spiders, etc and eat them in the wild.
All of my cats have had a fancy with bugs. Just smile and know that you have a live bug zapper running around your home.

I think he is just playing with the spider web, as cats are normally quite curious and playful.. But be aware of the host of the web, if the host is poisonous, your cat might get poisoned.
It is better for u to distract him from the spider web. Teach him tricks or play balls with him. Show him mouses and let him play with the mouse, that is much safer

No.. it is not harmful for a cat to eat spider webs.. I have never heard of such a thing and it could be simply that the cat is fascinated with the web and chews at it.

I'd be more concerned with him getting bit by a spider; some have venom that may be able to poison a small creature; especially if you run into a whole bunch of them; as far as the webs go, they're sticky and I would imagine he could choke on them;

No, the spider webs themselves are ok as long as there aren't any spiders in the webs!
