I loved your question. I grew up a "Christian" & saw all the fake people in their fancy clothes thinking that this absolved them from all the hate they spewed throughout the week. I try to live as Jesus did. He threw the money-changers out of the temple. I do no harm....try to help those I can. Money & possesions are no longer important. As long as I have enough to live.....

Who ever said going to church makes you a christian? Knowing Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior is what makes you a christian. Anybody can walk through the doors of a church and call themselves a christian. You can park alot of other stuff in your garage besides a car!!!

Going to church will no more make you a Christian than going to McDonald's will make you a hamburger. Very valid point and observation. The Devil never misses church. Alot of Satan's spawns are there on the very front pew as well. You have to have a HEART acceptance of Jesus, and not just a HEAD knowledge. The Bible even states quite clearly that alot of people (church attendees) will not see the Kingdom of God. He will say, "Depart from Me ye worker of iniquity, for I never knew you." Alot of people think that by thier good works, including church attendance, they will be granted entrance to Heaven. This is so not the case. And it's sad. They had all the head knowledge of salvation through the Blood of Christ, but they never actually had the HEART ACCEPTANCE.

this taken of course from a pagan bumpersticker. i like it. but thats the mentality of christians today most do think that just cuz they show their face at a church once a week that they qualify as good christians which allows them all kinds of ruckus for the rest of the week. they sometimes even use these churches to rally their lynch mobs to attack other religions. such as witchcraft. or teach utter stupidity that an unconditionally loving god has 10 conditions. or that some boogey man they call satan will get me in the night and cart me off lock stock and barrell to some infinite suffering place they call hell. man i grew up to laugh at such nonsense as the easter rabbit(found out later that was pagan too) and i cant believe that even today such adults would still believe in that boogey man crap. well i guess buying a used car makes you a sucker then. there seems to be a lot around me.

Going to church has almost nothing to do with following the Lord, which is what Christianity is. We're suppose to give all credit to God, take Jesus into our hearts, try to live as he did, and basically love one another. You don't need to be at church to do that, and if you did, and were really trying to lead a real Christian life, you'd never leave church!!

If going to a garage makes you a car, then going to church makes you a church pew.

Going to church does not make you a Christian. Church is a place for Christians to gather to worship God and to fellowship with other believers.
