I am going to a dermatoligist but the appointment is so far away...help me!

fungus, bad stuff. the doc will probably start you on some long treatment that will cost your (or your insurance) lots of money. fungus is not easy to get rid of... takes time. probably some pills that will treat the fungus but in low doses, not to have a lot of side effects. good luck.

That's weird, I think I do too but I haven't gone to the doctor for it yet and I probably should. Both of my big toenails keep falling off, it's been doing that for years now. I've always avoided it and now my nail bed is funky looking. My nail grows back but it always looks funny now. Wish I took care of it sooner. I've been thinking about buying Lamasil, it's a pill you take for nail fungus.

Make an appointment with a podiatrist. If it is a fungus, it has to be treated not only externally but also internally.

There are all kinds of over the counter treatments for this. Talk to your local pharmacist and see what they reccomend.
