She's 17 and the only people she hangs out with now are stupid ghetto kids and she's really changed. Her grades are literally all F's. She is always getting into fights with my mom. She gets into a lot of trouble all the time. What do I tell her so she'll stop hanging out with these morons.

Based on Psychological merits, Try '''Positive Reinforcement''', in which you will give her something appetitive (satisfying), like buying her some CDs or introducing her to someone, like a clean-cut boy who you thinks she likes, provided that she stops hanging out with those kids. If this doesn't work, try '''Omission Training''', where you remove her privileges or stuff that are valuable to her if she doesn't stop hanging around with those goons.
Also, try bringing her to a Christian counselor or Christian psychologist. Her behavior are often signals of an underlying problem or an identity crisis.
One thing, however, that you mst remember, is that teens hate being nagged, so try not to be a ****** but more of a comforter. If continue doing good things to her, she'll engage in some realizations and probably snap out of her behavior and come into her family (and with you) in good terms.

some questions : Do you pay to stay with her? No, then some chores are lifelike. some, techniques you - no longer all. Then, has she ever quite hit you - because then you ought to say to her 'you supply up this pathetic toddler habit, or i will report expenditures for violence hostile to me' What you are able to do is flow on your health care specialist, and clarify what is going on. If there is also a 6 12 months previous, with such an abusive man or woman, then the toddler should be considered to be in threat - so social facilities ought to in all likelihood be in touch (or youthful ones protection facilities or notwithstanding they call it the position you stay) Then, i'd attempt to stumble on a pal who can placed you up for a lengthy time period. because, ultimately, something will amplify - and maximum in all probability you'd be the sufferer. yet, attempt to flow out once is humanly a threat. i imagine even a homeless safeguard is extra constructive than this.

a suburban kid who thinks the ghettos are so cool. yeah i agree with the first responder, boot her *** out. she'll learn. they're NOT going to take care of her. she's a privileged "female" as they would look at it (actually they would say something more derogatory but i won't say it here)and they like the fact she spends money on them and gives them rides everywhere. believe me, i would have loved to grow up in a nice suburb with nice things. you're right, she is backwards.

Hip Hop glamorizes ... and makes stupid ghetto kids cool. That and drugs. She needs to get a job. Your family needs to stop supporting her current lifestyle.

She's going through a stage and it's all for show right now. She is disillusioned. I suggest that you just be a brother to her and don't try to sway her too much. Show her how much you care and spend time talking to her about anything. Just be there for her. I know it'll be annoying for you at times but suck it up and stay positive. Don't ever label her. Good Luck man.

Its a stage, she will probably come to her senses soon. Try not to push her, that tends to push them in the wrong direction. But tell her you have noticed the change in her and are concerned and that you are there if she needs to talk.

She rebelling or on drugs.

It doesn't make her wrong, it just makes her out on the edge.

She either comes back on her own or she doesn't. You can't talk to her, you can't tell her. She won't listen. Everyone is wrong and only she is right. Just keep her from going OVER the edge!

Get your parents to send her to summer camp to make new friends. She shouldn't bring along her own clothes, but new ones that reflect an accademic and sports minded persons wear.

You should talk to your parents about talking to the, the parents should talk to the kids parents.

Tell her to get off the drugs, weed or whatever, and smarten up. I'd boot her *** out of the house if she didnt clean up her act fast.
