People are like that... it's a shame, really.
The ones that bother me are the ones that take the time to e-mail me to tell me what a B*t*h I am. Whatever. I figure that if they don't want to hear my answer they shouldn't ask me a question....

Good point; the purpose of Yahoo! Answers is not to insult or ridicule anyone. But it would seem that some people do not consider the feelings of others to be as important as making their point. Of course, if one really wants to make a point, he/she would go about it in a civil manner. So I conclude that the insulting questions are done either to "get a rise" out of people, or simply because some insensitive person must think they are so funny.

Take your pick:
1) They want to waste 5 yahoo points by asking a silly question.
2) They think that making fun of people who are different than them somehow makes them feel superior, so that they don't have to dislike themselves quite as much (It works until someone does it back.).
3) They are trying to bully you into agreeing with them, so that they won't feel so alone.
4) They think that making other people angry is funny (kind of a prank).
5) They are egotistical & naive enough to think that their point is soooo smart that no one would dare disagree with them (Some people cannot imagine that other people might have a different perspective, or else come up with a counter point that they haven’t through of yet.).
6) They are bored, immature, unpopular people with nothing better to do but annoy innocent people with smart-mouth rhetorical questions -- since they do not have a real life.

Didn't you know that you're not allowed to disagree? Yes, I know, some read more of the bible than Christians do just so they can ask a controversial question. Then I suppose they think Christians will agree with them and immediately become pagans.

Life is like a box of chocolates....you know the rest. But it's true!
You never know what might be said that could cause problems!!
Expect to get what you give, at least that's what I think.

People just think they made their statment clear and can't understand why everyone else don't believe just like them. Kind of like religious people. They can't stand that someone don't believe in god or the same god so they are willing to kill themself trying to kill the non believers who is not doning anything wrong to begain with but not believing.
I did not make you mad did I?

it depends on one's mood... there are times we receive perky answers but rather than heat it up, we stay level-headed... it all depends on a person's character, the rougher he is, he'd bully others until someones steps up on his plate and either replaces him or finishes him up forever... understand this, people are of different mind, of different character, of different opinions... that is why RESPECT should be always kept in place... pity the fellow who takes and never gives, for he will inherit the spoils of the earth.... ciao.....

because they are ignorant and they think they are better than others. when people learn to live and let live show no judgement and do no harm the world will be a much happier place.
