I don't think either one is the case - it isn't the type of abstract question a cat would ponder. They definitely know humans are a different kind of critter; they see us as we are and adjust accordingly. Which may be one of the reasons they have so much less stress than we do. :)

Honestly, you'll have to ask a cat--okay seriously, sometimes I'm sure my cats start to feel like they're our little babies.

But we may also be big cats--my sister calls herself the mama cat.

oh they are totally humored by us humans. they totally roll their eyes at us because they have a free ride. free food, lay around all day, never have to find a job. i think they are fully aware that we are a different species, but - i swear my cat looks at me as her mom. ive had her since she was born. so i guess love crosses all speices hu?

Neither they view us silly humans as slave like creatures that are nice but bizarre and more then likely feel a little sorry for us.

They think we are large, malformed furless cats. They have taken pity on us, and live with us to give us comfort.

That's what my cat said...but, come to think of it, she *was* smiling behind her paw.

I think they just view us as the ones that feed them, and that's all they care to know.

you know that is a great question i really think it is either one, cause my furry kittie children i know think of me and my husband as mom and dad, so i think it is both, they are our little children we adore and become exasperated at, but that is the joy of the family and pride.
