Just listen to your parents! You'll thank them later, but in the meantime you can try to earn more trust from them by obeying them because they have your best interests at heart. Also do something to help around home and give them some respect and maybe they will trust you more.

Listen to them, they Love you and are looking out for you. I hope that when you have children you would equally as concerned about them. Parents are going to be that way if they care, maybe too much, but you will never ever doubt their love for you. Talk to them and let them know they are putting so much pressure on you that it is stressing you out, dont shout at them let them know that you will do what they ask and be mature about it. They will see you are growing up a bit and give you some freedom. I am a mom of a 12 year old boy and I Love him very much and am scared to death he will make a huge mistake I also tell him the same thing , but I do let him go to his friends house and go to the park with adult supervision I just am there in the park not up their butt.
Anyway just trust you parents they are really the only people you can trust.

Sounds to me that this is a their-parents-let-them-so-why-can't-I-do-it scenario. The fact that you have parents who care about your wellbeing and want to be in your life shows that you are that much more well off than your friends who let them do whatever. It doesn't sound like they're overprotective just because they would like adult supervision there with you.
But if you feel like they don't let you do anything, here's what you can do. Earn their trust by bringing your friends over more often. Hang out at your house as an alternative to hanging out elsewhere. Show your parents how responsible you and your friends are... and trust me, before you know it, your parents will let you do a lot of things.

It doesn't seem fair and I know you don't want to hear this, but you should be glad you parents care enough about you to set some limits. It must be awful having parents that don't care what happens to you. It seems like a long way off but as you get older your parents will loosen up and you'll get more privileges. What you can do now is read your local newspaper and you'll see why they're strict. They love you and they want to protect you from all the craziness.

Be nice to your parents as they have a loving and now LEGAL responsibility towards you. They care, of course but they also don't want to wind up in jail if something bad happens to you or your pal.
Read the papers, kid...and watch the news!
Young kids are stabbed, mugged and robbed - they have pick-axes put in their skull and die for no reason, except that they are in the 'WRONG PLACE at the WRONG TIME'.
Listen to mam and dad as they are there to see you grow up and have a family too - not to put you to rest in an early grave or tend for you as a 'cabbage with brain damage' in a wheelchair for ever.
Try to understand how bad the world is out there. I explained this to my kids (boys) about 20+ years ago, how bad the streets were going to be. All these years on, and now they understand and thank me for that vision I gave them.
Be cool, and live life, my young friend.

Act very, very responsible, helpful, and sensible and you'll notice that little, by little, they will let you do more and more. Also,be grown up enough to be understanding of your parents. They love you so much and they know about all of the terrible thins that can happen to unsuspecting kids. Be thankful that they care.

Be happy! You have parents who care. They don't want you to turn into a drugy, whore, slut, or worse, DEAD! I know it sucks but in the long run you'll learn to appreciate the fact that your parents did care. Give them a big hug, tell them you love them and then ask them if they will take you tot he park.

If you haven't given them any reason to act that way, then it's not fair. If you are twelve, you should be allowed to go to a park by yourself. you are talking about day time or before 9:00pm, right?
