I have various friends who have approached me repeatedly about becoming "saved" over the years. Notwithstanding the fact that I spin them in a loop with the Bible every time they toss it at me, they keep coming back. In the end, if I prove their concepts, testimonies, and witnesses flawed by the words of the prophets and apostles, they invariably become indignant, as if I had offended God himself. Mind you, I believe in God. I simply don't believe in ..... well ..... their concept or understanding of God. If I'm ever to be saved, I'll leave it to God to make that determination. Am I wrong? Do they have a monopoly I don't know about?

lol, no monopoly! No one knows the mind, will and reality of God - except God. The only will God has for us is, yes, to be saved. God has already made that determination of you being saved, it is your turn now. If you truly know and understand the prophets and the apostles, you will also know that their words aren't flawed; nor are their concepts or testimonies.

Understanding God? What is there to understand? He is God, we are his creation. His ways are above our ways. Who can know the mind of God?

Tell you what, read 'Job'. That will tell you just exactly how much we know, or are allowed to know about Him. Take care.

No offense, but I suppose the real question is, do you? Have you spoke to God recently? I haven't, but Jesus, Peter, John, & Paul did, so, with all due respect, maybe I'll take their word over yours.

How do you know that God will save you by default even if you do nothing? If a person tells you that he doesn't know if he has a retirement plan or not, but he's not worried about it because he will find out upon retirement if he has a good plan or not, would you think that this person is crazy? A person who doesn't know what his retirement plan is, doesn't have a retirement plan (you have to actually do something in order to to opt in).

John 3:18 Makes one point of many within God's word. 'Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.' It all comes down to is Jesus who He claimed to be. His credentials included 1.) the impact of His life, through His miracles and teachings, upon history; 2.) Fulfilled prophecy in His life and 3.) His resurrection. The resurrection of Jesus Christ and Christianity stand or fall together. The evidence is there, you just have to look.

the definition of God as he said about himself in the holy Qura'an
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

[1] Say: He is Allah, the One and Only;

[2] Allah, the Eternal, Absolute;

[3] He begetteth not, nor is He begotten;

[4] And there is none like unto Him.
