Lol, confused little kitty, well throwing the #2 in there will help get the message. When he smells/sees it it'll click.

Sounds pretty bad. I'd probably try locking the kitty in the room with the litter box for a little while. Then when it has to go potty it may be clearer where is the best place that way.

Hey I had the same problem with my cat Bandit when he was a kitten. whenever you see your kitten getting ready to go to the bathroom just take it to it's litterbox and make sure it goes in it. Then just keep doing this for a while and your kitten should get the nack of things, and when you go to sleep take your kitten with you and cuddle with it to show it that this is where it's supposed to sleep, and not go to the bathroom. Thats really all there is to it. Don't forget to make sure you make it go to the bathroom in it's litterbox. Oh, and I know this might sound mean, but if it continues to keep going to the bathroom anywhere besides the litterbox you'll have to disipline it. To show it that that's wrong. Ihope this helps

Truly a confused cat!

I'm with Bleuwra here: Lock him in a room with his box. Meanwhile, wash all the bedding thoroughly and clean the matress so the scent won't be there to urge him to 'mark' the bed again. Also, for a while when one of my cats got ill I had trouble with him using the bed even after he was well- until I coverred it with plastic and made him go back to his box.

Good luck!
