What is the best way to take a car seat on vacation via plane? Check it? If you check it, what did you put it in? Special carrying case, garbage bag, box?
Can you take it on the plane with you if you didn't purchase the child a ticket (she will be in my lap, she is 5 months)? We have a stroller and a car seat to take and I know we can take the stroller on the plane for them to store up front, but what should I do with the car seat?

You cannot take it to use on the plane unless you bought a ticket for the child. Just place a tag on it. If you are worried about someone 'taking' it, remove all the covers before checking it.

I believe all you have to do is check it like regular luggage. They will put a tag on it and put it with the rest of the stuff on the plane. I always see car seats coming out of the thingy when they are spitting the luggage out! Hehehe. So you're good to just throw it in with your luggage.

You're going to have to check it, you don't put it in anything just tagged it.
