Maybe it is not a cold and you are allergic to something in the fruit. My advice is to just stay away from it.

Sounds like partially an allergic reaction, but maybe you are also getting too much sugar even if natural, as that lowers immunity. Also a test for your blood sugar or diabetes wouldn't hurt.
How's the rest of your diet? Are you getting enough from all the food groups to have a balanced diet? Anybody else in the family also getting sick easily? Are the dishes well washed -hot enough with soap? A small amount of bleach like a teaspoon or 2, added to the dishwashing water might help. Do you change your toothbrush every 3 months as that might help too. How's the drinking water? You need to be a good detective to track the real source of the problem, either within you or outside of you. Good luck.

You could definitely be allergic to fruits and juices with citric acid. Sometimes the symptoms of allergies is the same as a cold. If you have other allergy problems too, you might want to go to an allergist.

An allergy to citrus is possible. Even to mint. Try giving up those drinks and see if you are symptom free. The fever probably is a cold. If you produce extra mucus from an allergy, it is easier to get a cold.

Go get tested for allergies. I was amazed when I found out I was allergic to not just chocolate, peanut butter, and strawberries, common allergies, but also chicken! So, go find out!

Maybe you are allergic to them or maybe it's the acidity of them.
