If a guy is willing to take you and your child on could his intentions be bad? Or am i just paranoid. And how long would it take to find that out?

Take your time. See if he takes you and your child to his family functions/outings. See if he gets you kid things out of the blue, just because. There will be signs like that...you'll pick up on them.

don't get me wrong there are a lot of good people that could and would love you and your child and not even think about hurting either of you
but then again there are a lot of people that would
just be careful the only way that you truly can find out is by trying it
if you have any reason not to trust this guy don't trust him u can never be too careful especially when its concerning your life and your child's life
if you just have a gut feeling don't ignore it maybe wait a while longer and see how he acts around yoyour child and make sure to tell your child if he/she fells uncomfortable around him in anyway or if this guy tries to pull anything on ur child to tell you immediately
you can never be too careful

Hard to say.
Why not watch him interact with your child and if you like what you see then base your judgment on that. Also if you trust him enough allow the child to spend some time alone with him and then ask the child if they had a good time and if he was kind and caring. Sometimes the true personality comes out when there is no other adults around to keep things in check.

It sounds like he's a good guy if he's willing to take on you and a child he didn't father - I don't think I could do it. I doubt his intentions would be bad, but I'd wait to get seriously involved until you know him better. I'd give it at least six months.

u just have the ans right there, he is willing to be with u and ur child which is not his so i think his intentions or good because once in a while u find a guy who wants to take care of a child that is not theirs but pray to god if u r in doubt.

You cant assume that because a man is interested in you and your child he is bad, yes I understand your concerns but if you condemn all men because there are a few who would you will remain alone your entire life. Follow your instincts, if your gut tells you that this person seems loving and genuine then give him a break, if your gut tells you to run a mile then do it, you need to trust a person in your life without trust there is no love.
