Muslims believe that Judaism came first and people corrupted it so there was Christianity and it was corrupted and so there was Islam. Did you notice how similar the words in the Bible (revelation) and the Qur'an are? The Nag Hammadi library also largely coincides with the Qur'an.

I just have to say that Prophet Muhammad (saw) did not write the Qur'an.

I just have to say a few things:
- Prophet Muhammad (saw) did not write the Qur'an.
- The Qur'an does not denounce Jesus as a bad guy. He is one of the prophets of Islam. Human like all the prophets.

I applaude your observation. While the Quran is the sacred text of Islam, Muslims also revere the Hebrew Bible and the Christian New Testament and consider Jews and Christians to be "people of The Book." Judaism and Christianity had a great influence on the development of Islam, and all three are Abrahamic religions. Muslims consider the Quran the final revelation of Allah (God) and Muhammad is His Prophet.
P.S. I love when people make claims when they have no knowledge of what they are talking about and when they make absolute claims. You use a qualifier "similiar" and people argue that they are "nothing alike" or "are not the same" yet offer little to support their views.

The Muslim declaration of the priority of Jusaism is a simple acceptance of history.
The Qur'an and the New Testament have VERY LITTLE in common. The NT records Jesus Christ as saying "the Father and I are one" and "those who have seen Me have seen the Father". The Qur'an accepts Jesus as a mortal prophet, but not the Son of God and the Savior of the world. The two documents are NOT in accord.

Wow! I don't see much similarity in the least bit. I think you should read them again. Put your glasses on next time. The Koran is against Jesus Christ, the Son of the living God and the Bible points to Jesus as the only way to Heaven for every human on Earth.

similarities that i noticed between the Quran and the Bible :
1-They were not made by any man.
2-They were given by god to proof his existance for people.
3-They contain miracles that cannot be denied.
4-They contain every thing that we should know.
5-Christianity Islam & Judaism are the most followed religions in the world.
6-They are known by everybody even non believers.
And i agree with you that the bible was corrupted,
But as muslims we believe in the
Original jewish and christian bible which are not present .

I believe that a lot of the different religions and there Bibles are similar on certain points. It seems that there differences are their beliefs in who the Savior is and whether He has come back or not. Some say he has not come yet, others say that Jesus is not the savior. Some say that he is a man that has come in our life time. I myself wish that the points that they all agree on would pull all of us together and change this corrupt, manipulative, hateful world we live in.

It's the same God, & some of the ideas are the same/or similar, but the Qu'ran is the literal word of God, using Mohamed as his messenger, so it can't be changed, amended or even translated except word for word.
The bible is a collect of books, written by many different people & edited many years later, with many revisions in the centuries since.

I noticed it too in what little I have read. Is is possible we all worship the same God, just go about it differently? Our country was based on religious freedom. I think it is about time we practiced it. Muslims have the same right to believe in Muhammad as I do in Jesus Christ.

The bible is the Truth as God has said and if you read in Revelation it states, he who adds to this book the plagues in this book will be added to you and he who takes away from this book your name will be taken out of the Lambs book of life. So if you think about it, how many religions have taken scripture out of the bible to start their own thing! The devil doesn't care what you believe in as long as it's not the truth of God. Even if your the nicest person in the world your not going to make it to heaven by what you've done because we're all foul-able, it's only by accepting Jesus for who he is and what he did for you. Who else would die for you and go to hell and come back to life to wash away your shame!! That's Love!! I'll love him forever for that!

They are very similar because both were sent down by the same God Muslims just call God by a different name, Allah. Islam was sent down for the reason that you put under your question, yet they all include the same basic beliefs.
