Depends what it is about. If you are correctly informed about the nature of the squabble and one person is being entirely unreasonable, you could step in to defend the other. But if it does not concern you or they are both being childish, by all means walk away. There is no use in you getting involved if it will lead to more hurt or hassles later on.

You have the right to go find that harmonious spot where you can rejoice in your glory while your family fights. You are not involved so why sweat it? Let those that squabble figure things out by themselves and let them learn.

Definitely not selfish to walk away. It's a good idea to remain neutral so you don't get any one mad at you.

Actually it is best to do so for your personal sanity. This isn't about selfishness. It is about emotional self-preservation. There's a difference.

No actualy that is good for you. The less yelling and fighting your around the better you will be later on in life. It's less stress for you and it's good for your carma.
