Would we just allow our enemies to march in and take over because it is against JW doctrine to be involved in politics and to serve in the armed forces?

We wouldn't have a country. Moreover, a vast amount of our medical advances for the past half-century would immediately become sin. But why would we? There are a helluva lot more than 144k Americans.

No, it wouldn't. We are wanting to lean on our own understanding. We're already going to Hell in a handbasket because we are leaning away from the Christian religion - what our country was founded on. That is why our country has been mighty for so long, but since the year I was born, 1962, it started going downhill in divorce, teen pregnancies, unwed mothers, STD's, you name it. Ever since the Bible and prayer was taken out of the schools. I've seen the statistics. I also know a couple of former JW's.

Bible prophecy actually mentions an active role for the United States in the events leading up to Armageddon. The hypothetical posed in the question is thus impossible.

That's debetable. Some would say no because our country was founded on very religious morals. "One nation under God". This country has the most powerful military in the world to get rid of it would just give opportunities to our enemies to destroy us. The US revolves around politics we have the society that we have because of politcs. I dont think we could survive.

yes it would. everyone would not be fighting with each other. that is they way Jehovah God wanted things. when we are at meeting, black and white or whatever color you are we all worship together. praise Jehovah and Jesus Christ. I don't know how anyone can turn there back on Jehovah and become a Mormon yuck. bill I always enjoy your answers also. see how they talk nasty about us? little do they know they better turn to Jehovah. there is no such thing as Santa clause. aren't you old enough to know that? I can not wait until everyone worships Jehovah and Jesus all over the world.

What do you think is man’s best hope for peace and the future of the human family? Although you, like many may put their faith in the United Nations or individual governments, the Bible counsels at Psalm 146:3, 4: Do not put your trust in nobles, nor in the son of earthling man, to whom no salvation belongs. His spirit goes out, he goes back to his ground; In that day his thoughts do perish. ”

Then whom can we trust? The Bible answers at verse 5: Happy is the one who has the God of Jacob for his help, Whose hope is in Jehovah his God, Also, “Trust in Jehovah with all your heart and do not lean upon your own understanding. In all your ways take notice of him, and he himself will make your paths straight.”—Proverbs 3:5, 6.

The inability of humans to bring true freedom in the important things of life emphasizes what is said in the Bible at Jeremiah 10:23: “To earthling man his way does not belong. It does not belong to man who is walking even to direct his step.” No, God did not create man with the ability or prerogative to be independent of His direction and be successful. This is one reason why God has allowed so many thousands of years of human rule independent from him, to demonstrate once and for all time that such rule cannot bring true freedom and happiness.

Now if we are willing to be plainly frank about the matter, we must admit that under the supervision of “man’s best hope” wars increase, and weapons grow deadlier than ever. True, there is also much talk of peace, many promises of peace and conferences for peace. But the trouble is that all this is only talk. In reality there is no peace.

So then, when we pray the Lord’s Prayer “Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven,” we are actually praying for God’s kingdom by Christ to smash all these kingdoms and set up a world-wide, righteous government. At Armageddon God will crush out of existence Satan and his evil world. After Armageddon and throughout all eternity, this earth will be a paradise, forever free from war as Psalm 46:9 shows: He is making wars to cease to the extremity of the earth. The bow he breaks apart and does cut the spear in pieces; The wagons he burns in the fire.

No, because then the whole nation uld be out knocking on doors and noone would be home. We'd have no military. I gues we could live without politicians. But, there'd be no progress in society.
