I often read alot of computer related things on the internet...and instead of learning more about any Os or security issues..I end up reading..things like...
Mac is better than Pc...Linux is better than Windows...And sometimes worse..Linux users against Linux users...!!
Wake up everybody it is not a religion...
Whatever you think is cool and you could be right but the truth is this...(wheter u like it or not) There are Pc's everywhere and there is Windows on every PC.You can make fun of it..get mad ....but the average user will buy a computer with Windows installed already thats the way it is...Even right now I read about Vista, I Honestly I do not think you should focus an Os on the graphics and fancy 3d features...(I seems that you will need a Gamer PC to "Get the best Vista experience"), but in a few years wheter I like it or not Windows will be there...

I’ve actually seen the MAC zealots hanging around the computer sections of Best Buy and Office Depot trying to convince inexperienced computer buyers to purchase Apple products.

One of these guys told me that the Apple processor was 100 times faster than the “windows” processor.

Some people just need to get a life.

Rants and raves do not help believe me I have tried.. I just read the reviews from actual users and go from there... Now is not the time to buy a PC. wait until after Vista comes out..

All systems have there advantages, But if you want my opinion, Windows is the way to go. Mac is ok, But its not very user friendly.. (thats why my hacker buddys dont bother with it.. Vista will put a end to all the hackers, There will be a few that manage to beat it, but, they will be offered a job, and you will never hear from them again.. Windows no matter how badly it gets trashed, is the way to go...

I would have to agree with most of what you've said. But let's face it, people have always found something to argue about. Ford vs. Chevy, Christianity vs. Atheism, left-handedness vs. right-handedness, the Yankees vs. the Red Sox. It's just human nature to debate the issues.

But one thing I disagree with is waiting until Vista is released before buying that new computer. I believe (and here's something else to argue about!) that once Vista is released to the general public, it will be at least 18 months to 2 years after that before it becomes a stable and reliable platform. Look at the XP history.

When XP was released, it had problems from the get-go. Wasn't too long after it went public that Microsoft had to come out with Service Pack 1. It was supposed to solve all those initial problems. Obviously, it didn't because soon thereafter we saw SP2..... a huge repair package, the largest anyone had ever seen. It took at least 18 months AFTER the release of XP before it began to shine as an operating system.

I predict that Vista will go through the same growing pains. But because of the sheer size of Vista compared to XP, it wouldn't surprise me if it took three service packs and 2 years before it reaches its true potential. So with that thought in mind, if someone wants to get a new computer now, I would strongly endorse that purchase. Why wait until Vista proves itself? If Vista is released in early 2007, it may not prove itself until 2009.
