When two people are going out and the guy is older everyone's all "chill" with it but as soon as they hear that two people are dating but the GIRL is older, they start talking about it and questioning their actions??!

As a rule, females mature earlier than males do. So an older male is less threatened by a younger female but most females are REALLLLLY bored by younger males. That changes as they all age. A 20 year old woman with a 15 year old boy is silly -- he's more like her son. But a 40 year old woman with a 35 year old male is not that strange. They've both matured, both know what they want and both are capable of lasting relationships. So if you've got your heart set on an older girl, give it 20 or 30 years. You'll have a lot more in common then.

I think it is because girls mature faster than boys. And so if a boy is two or so years older the girl is as mature as he is because she matures faster. And i think that when a guy is dating a much older woman....it looks like she is kinda preying on his immaturity. But a couple years older either way doesnt seem like it should be a big problem.

It's because times are changing. It never used to be that older women would date younger men. It's always been older men and younger women. As with alot of things and alot of ppl..change is hard on some. I know for myself, my guy is 20 years younger than I am...we've been together for almost a year now...ppl still have a hard time with it...they probably always will...does it matter? nope, everyone should live their own lives and not worry about someone else...

I think your over acting. In the 2000, more people are open to strage relationship, so I cant she this happening. Like in Houston you have the gay and les, relationship or you have two girl and one guy relationship or two guys and one female relationship. They are people that have sex with aniamals, some people like to make out with fruit etc. So what is so shocking with your relationship. To me it is boring. The normal isn't normal any more. Look at 80 year old that does the same as the 20 year olds. Like bunge jumping or tatoos, etc. There is no rules for normal any more. so move on.

I definitely think that's unfair. My two best friends, a freshman boy and a senior girl dated and everyone that heard of the relationship freaked out while I was dating a senior boy and I'm a freshman. I thought it was totally irrational because they were perfect for each other at that time in their lives! It's just the time period we've grown up in.

It's like Ashton Kutcher dating Demi Moore. He could be getting all the young tail in Hollywood, so why is he with an old woman who popped out 3 kids? Doesn't make sense.

It's just breaking a social norm, which is fine, but unusual. It's like standing backward on an elevator--no one expects it and it wigs them out (try it, it's really fun). Don't worry about it, these people are just insecure and feel the need to be "socially right" at all times. They will get over themselves someday. Right now, they are totally limiting their dating possibilities.

What's Normal??? I know plenty of older women dating younger men and it's working great for them!!! Afterall, a womens sexual peak is at around 30 years old, and a man's is at around 16 years...so it sounds like a plan to me!

thats because most people see women as maturing faster than guys so we have to date older people for them to just be on our level but other than any personal problems i dont really see why society freeks out about anything its really not there place its stupid really but what are you going to do but just keep shocking them
