The Marine Corps doesn't keep their basic training a secret. I went through it from April 10th, 1995 to June 30th, 1995. What do you want to know about it?
The first month is basically learning about the Marine Corps. How things work, the structure and lots of physical training and drill. This period is where they also begin to break the recruit. Men and women who join the Marine Corps are products of society, the Marine Corps doesn't want civilians, they want Marines. So, they have to show the recruit that their past civilian ways, will not work.
The second month, is mostly rifle qualifications, combat training, field training. Here they learn the basics of being a Marine Corps rifleman. They also begin the process of building the Marine. Once the recruit is broken down, taken to the point where they see that they cannot act the way they used to, the Corps can make them a Marine.
The third month, is putting on the finishing touches. Building the Esprit De Corps, team work and the pride of being a Marine. They get all of their uniforms squared away. They go through inspections. They take tests designed to see what they have learned. Finally, the graduate and are Marines.
No secret... ask a Marine.

It's not *that* much of a secret.
The Discovery channel has done series on basic training at Parris Island.
Not being a member of the armed forces I can't say for certain, but there are undoubtably details in basic that are classified or secret.
Basic consists of a lot of repetition: repetitive physical exercises, repetitive classes to learn proper military minutia, repetitive drills for maintenance etc. (like how to make a bunk and how to clean a weapon).
On top of that, certain parts of basic really suck. For example, gas mask training involves getting subjected to a room filled with tear gas, primarily to acclimate the soldier to the physiological effects of chemical weapons.

sure, you could. Boot camp isn't complicated and that's not common. you're informed to do each and everything right down to waking up, stand "on-line", %. up your left sock, placed it on your left foot, %. up... etc, etc... that's humorous in a retarded sort of way once you look decrease back on it after crowning glory. in case you may do each and each and every of the criteria then you're frequently waiting bodily. Passing the PFT is standard! Max the pullups because they're the money-makers! a million minute from the 18 minute mark is 6 factors. a million pullup is 5 factors and it takes decrease than 3 seconds to do one. because you do not weigh that a lot (I weight one hundred forty and that i'm 5' 4"), you could likely artwork your muscle tissues to do those 40 pull ups. One platoon's PFT common is 250-ish so attempt to get something like that. trust me, you should be likely to be triumphant in case you purely "stay invisible." you may do this by employing no longer attracting unnecessary interest and doing what you're informed. In boot camp, you won't be able to give up. regardless of in case you assert you give up, you won't be able to give up except you do something as retarded as attempting to kill your self. that is a 4 three hundred and sixty 5 days dedication and that's many times no longer an extremely relaxing one. i will surely say that the prospect is definitely worth it although. pop out of the militia and bypass into the international as a extra perfect guy.

I served as a Marine, and their basic training is not a secret. It's simply not described to the general public, since there is no need for the general public to know it.

It is not a secret, just watch full metal jacket and take out all the cussing, hitting, spitting, hard training, and donuts, and you have got it. Marine Corps is getting too soft thanks to Mothers of America

They don't.
When my son went through basic and we went to his graduation the drill instructor told us what they did to my son and the other boys, at first I was mad and upset that my son was treated so bad but then he was sent to Iraq and what his drill instructor taught him could have been one reason my son is alive. So if I ever meet that drill instructor again I will thank him for teaching my son how to survive.

they don't. contact your local recruiter and they will be able to show you a recruit training matrix which is a day by day schedule of what they do in basic training.
