why did god send down jesus back in the old days?

Everyone has the free will to believe in Him or not. Besides Jesus came down to save humanity not to show 'neat tricks'.

The reason Jesus had to come to earth as a physical human is because as a spirit He had no power on earth. God had turned the earth over to mankind and mankind in turn turned it over to Satan, also a spirit. God cannot violate his word. As a physical human Jesus could free the people from the grip of Satan. You have heard stories I am sure of Satan always trying to capture the soul of a person, This is because as a physical being they have power and Satan uses that power.

There will be a day in the not too distant future and Jesus will again come to the earth. He will have tremendous powers and will bind Satan.

Those who have accepted Jesus as their Savior will be saved from the second death after everyone whom has ever or will ever be on the earth will be judged. EVERY knee will bow to God and that includes yours. If you have not accepted Jesus as your Savior you will be judged guilty and suffer the second death.

If however you do accept Jesus as your Savior He will intercede for you and you will live forever..

The choice is yours...don't miss your chance....and it is YOUR choice to accept Jesus or to ridicule Him. But if I were you I know I'd accept as the alternative is beyond description.
