DO NOT USE DAWN DISH DETERGENT!!!!!!! Please don't do that! If you did this today, condition your hair well, with conditioner in, cover your hair with a plastic bag and let it sit for a while. Tomarrow you can try the low lights or hair color. Have a friend help you if you can to make sure its even. It's best to pull through a cap. ( sally's beauty supply or any other beauty supply store will have these) Shorten the time a little the the color is left on, or just be sure to take test strands when desired colored is reached. If left on too long , you can damage your hair. Sorry this happened to you!! You can fix it :) Be patient and do your best! You can do it!!

I experienced the samething a about a month ago. I have dark brown hair and and I wanted light brown hightlights I ended up looking like a zebra. I called my hairdresser and she was really helpfull with free advice.
She said any sort of dishwashing liquid will strip the color for the hair (like the above answer Dawn is said to be good). DO THIS ONLY ONCE since it really dries out your hair. After using Dawn you might want to use a good hair conditioner something like Pantene- Daily Moisture renewal. For a good while afterwards.
Now if your up to it and you still think you have to much blonde in your hair you can always buy a semi-perminate hair dye, around the color of your natural hair dark blonde or light brown (if you have too much blonde in your hair. How to choose the right hair dye cool colors minimize brassiness. Warm shows of more of golden hairlights your hair already has. My hair dresser said that Loreal Natural Match is a good product. If your new to hair dying separate your hair into sections and dye each section making sure you have completely color your hair from the roots to the tips.
If you want to hightlight your hair again use Loreal HI-Light Styliste it's really great and I'd recomend this product to anyone. The Loreal website has alot of good tips and advice for any sort of hair color needs, and they have really good instructional videos!
If your hair is damaged from all of this remember getting a good trim will help with any damaged ends you might have. And always treat your hair to a good hair conditioning at least once a week.
Just remember its takes a little bit of time to figure out all the how to's and don't of dying your hair at home with a little time your be fine.

You can get some hair color your true dark blonde buy you a cap and pull your hair through like you did the first time ( to make it blonde) color it with the dark blonde and it should tone it down. It's called the reverse method. But wait aleast a week after the first time you had lightened your hair. It will work and look alot better.

Awe. i feel really bad. i've dyed my hair a million times and ruined it most of them, and it becomes a pain in the butt. if i were you i would just go to the store and buy dark ash blonde. the ash coloring works great because it takes out any red or orange, plus the color you dont want. then dye it back to your original color and be done with it, or at least stop doing it by yourself. then put aside some extra money every week and when you have enough, go get your hair highlighted by a professional :)

well i think that you should just do an all over color treatment because if you get lowlights it will look out of porportion because the brown might not cover the blonde and it will really look like a mess. so do an all over color treatment i believe that is the best thing that you can do to fix that problem

Not to worry. You young ladies are so overly concerned about make-up, hair color, clothing styles, etc. Normal guys really don't care about that type of thing. If you want to be attractive, be interesting and develop your talents. That's what interests interesting guys.
Of course there is nothing wrong with looking beautiful, and we all use certain products but they really are not that important. So buy the best you can afford and use your energy doing something interesting like singing, writing, sports, modeling, whatever you like.

I've done the same thing with the same colour hair.
I tried everything, and in the end there was nothing to be done but wait for it to grow out.
I thought it was a disaster, but everyone kept telling me how great my hair looked, so maybe it's not such a big issue as it feels right now.

the weave ones that celebrities positioned on ruin your hair. they pull on the hair and go away you with bald patches - see the %. of victoria beckham. also they are very extreme priced, regardless of the very incontrovertible actuality that do stay in for longer than the different type of extension. the glue in ones are impressive. I genuinely have had them for over 2 years and they have genuinely HELPED my hair to strengthen! i had them put in continuously for about 3 months and my hair replaced into two times as thick even as i ultimately took them out. my hairdresser (who's likewise a tricologist) suggested that's because you're literally not in a position to get proper to the basis even as brushing, washing, straightening etc so your roots are in a position to strengthen in a way they could in no way often be in a position to. they should be redone on effortless each 2 weeks yet they are low-cost and a series will very last about a year in case you look after them. notwithstanding, continually have them put in with the help of a specialist and dont attemp;t to do them your self or getting a chum to do them. it is how ppl ruin their hair with extensions. the clip in ones would pull your hair out somewhat yet as they are elementary to get rid of and are available out on the top of on a daily basis they don't look to be going to do a lot lengthy time period damage on your hair. they dont look practically as good or as actual as the different 2 kinds although and also you could frequently tell even as someone is wearing them.

You will need to put a mix of your choice of low lights in a bowl, use a toothbrush and apply the mixture on the exact lights that you want to darken, be careful not to move around much while processing. Good luck.
