Does she like coffee?? I am also a cancer survivor. My son got me a necklace at Hallmark that I love. It says hope, love, and courage. I do enjoy simple things like coffee or food items I really like. Maybe a little basket filled with goodies.

You could buy her something she has been wanting or likes or something she is into. You could do something more thoughtful and less money too. Once I found this old picture of my dads parents crumpled up in his wallet (one of the few he had) I took it to the store, blew it up, and put it in a nice picture frame in his office. He almost cried. Also my mom was close to her mom who died early. She would talk about how she used to go through all her moms buttons (my grandma loved to sew) So for her b-day I bought a container full of buttons and put her moms picture in a locket. Just be creative. She will love whatever you give her.

if you have a printer you can make up a "coupon" book for her that has around the house chores on it.......to redeem them she gives you the coupon and you do the chore for her with no complaints a bunch of her favorite flowers would be a nice touch and as an added bonus you could add a few coupons for outings with just you and her doing what she wants to do

Fix her dinner. You could create I.O.U.'s for things like cleaning her house, taking her to pick out a favorite plant to buy, do grocery shopping for her, a day to spend with you and reminisce. You could give any type of IOU's. Those gifts are priceless and inexpensive.

Write her a special note telling her how much she means to you. Then, add a special job or 2 that you will do for her. Wash windows out side, clean carpets, move furniture - you get the idea. Good luck!

container o' wine. She appears like a lady of sophistication and massive difference. per chance you should get her a container 'o mints for after, in case she plans on demonstrating the "data of life" afterward in the evening.

since you don't have much money go to your local florist and get her favorite flower and a wwf magazine and flame her favorite wrestler. Maybe just simply spend the day with her.

Best presents are always home made. I use to yell at my kids to keep there hand prints off the doors. For my birthday my kids painted there hands, each kid a different color and put there hand prints on my bedroom door. Then signed there names in them. I will never paint that door again. I love it. All my family and friends comment on it.. They made me a flower pots with hand prints for mothers day. They are too cool!

Gift certificates & a homemade card telling her how you feel about her. Take her to dinner & spend the day. You could take her to the mall & buy her an outfit.
