Is this because you are in a medical program?...Are you doing this because your are interested in a career in medicine?..to be honest you should probably start with your own medical physician and see if you can observed in their office..the problem you will run into in most cases wherever you go is patient confidentiality and being allowed to be with the physician during patient examines..it will take permission by the doctor as well as the patient..and you must place yourself in the patients position whether you would want a stranger tagging along with your doctor...but if you are honestly interested and doing it for the right reasons then talk with your personal physician first.

you contact a doctor and ask if you can shadow them. If you are still in school then I would suggest talking to the school counselor- they often know which Dr's are likely to let people shadow them.

If you mean "What is shadowing?" it's just following a doctor around to see what he/she does during a normal day.
