How do we forget most of our dreams, but remember weird details of other ones (not preferibly nightmares)? Other information on dreams would be nice too.

Our dreams are what occur while the subconscious is in control.
When you wake up, the conscious side takes over...
and never shall the two meet.
The weird details you remember because you associate them with an actual event or person in your life.

Well, it depends on the dream. Sometimes, you will remember things, or have answers to a question that's been bugging you come in a dream.

Mostly, dreams are your brains way of working out daily activities and letting of stress and worries (nightmares).

There is usually no reason to remember them.
