Does anyone out there own or know someone that owns or even heard the audiobahn aw1200v's the are the high excursion ones wit the little pretective prongs over the surrond and the cone is smooth, glossed and black with silver Audiobahn in bubble letters.
I was looking at getting a pair and i want to know what they sound like. Is the bass tight and punchy, how does it preform on the low end, will they last ????? HELP I'm trying to get my dream system put together( Donations are excepted in the place of a answer too)=)

Kicker is a rip off and over rated unless you want to belch out 1200 dollars for a sub. I have stomped kicker in the ground so many times with my hifonics amp and audiobahn subs its ridiculous

You guys have to be kidding right?? kicker and rockford HAHA and to the guy that said jbl you need to go somewhere beat yourself with a smart stick. Audiobahn subs will take a mean lick. The guy wired my amp up wrong (Hifonics brutus 1500w rms) so it was runnig at .3 or .6 ohms and i had 3 400 w rms 800w max (the lowest line they make) so if my amp already would burp to 3000 at 1 omh it had to be burpin at about 3300 to 3600 watts at .3 or .6 at the subs took every last bit of it. The aw1206t's i have hooked up to a 2000 wat rms brutus and I get no distortion, bottoming out, bad smell or anything from them. My first system which was the 3 with the 1500w amp was almost as loud as this guy here that had a durango with 6 rockford hx2's in a wall that took up the third seat row and back with 2 or 3 amps pushing them. I should have been nowhere close to as loud as him when he had 2 times the output in a ported versus my 3 in a seald box

DONT LISTEN TO THE AUDIOBAHN HATERS, THERE SUBS ARE AWSOME, I HAVE HAD THE AW1206T AND IT WAS AWSOME, I NOW HAVE THE AW1205N AND IT SOUNDS GREAT, I AM NOT PUSHING IT THROUGH AN AUDIOBAHN AMP DUE TO THE HIGH PRICE. I HAVE A HIFONICS BRUTUS BXi1206D WHICH IS THE MOST AMAZING AMP I HAVE COME ACCROSS, THE AMP IS 2400WATT MAX, 1200WATT RMS, AND IT DOESNT EVEN DIM MY LIGHTS (I DONT HAVE A CAPICITOR) THE AMP IS EXTREMELY EFFICIENT, AND IT IS A MONO BLOCK AND CLASS D, WHICH IS BEST FOR SUBS. MY SETUP HITS HARD AS IT IS, BUT I AM GETTING ANOTHER ONE OF THESE SUBS AND AMP IN THE FUTURE, BECAUSE I DONT WANT TO BE ABLE TO BREATHE WHEN IT IS TURNED UP. BY THE WAY TO PEOPLE SAYING THAT AUDIOBAHNS WATTS DONT PUSH WHAT THEY SAY, I AM RUNNING A 1000WATT RMS SPEAKER WITH A 1200 WATT RMS AMP, AND I KNOW YOU CANT TALK SHlT ABOUT HIFONICS PUTTING OUT WATTS BECAUSE THEY ARE SOME OF THE BEST AMPS I HAVE SEEN OUT THERE ON THE MARKET TODAY.

Audiobahn subs are terrible...i was seriously considering getting (2) 12'' AW1206T subs or the Eternal Series or Immortal Series and every car audio specialist i talked to about it said they are garbage. they were not just doing that just to get me to buy what they had. one actually sold them and the other worked for Audiobahn for 4 years prior to opening his shop. one told me he bought a 2400 watt Audiobahn amp just to see what it was actually rated at and it BLEW at only 700 watts. Even though i really really want Audiobahn to be good subs everything i hear about them is negative. Another car audio shop owner told me cut what ever #'s Audiobahn posts to cut them in half. Meaning the AW1206T subs Audiobahn says are 1100 watts RMS a piece, so figure only about 550 watts rms each if that and dont expect them to last all too long. check out the Kicker Solo-Baric L7's even though they are only rated at 750 watts RMS i hear that these things HIT HARD. also if money is no object check out the Solo X. Also the MTX Thunder 9500 or 8500...the 9500 is about $500 and is 1000 watts RMS and this thing will pound. So forget about building a dream system with Audiobahn...i did it and i am sooo glad i did not even purchase anything because you will be very dissapointed. no matter how much you want there to be, there is no cheap, extremley loud and great looking subs. i wish there were too though...also check out Power Acoustic MOFO subs. I have not had expeirence with these and neither has any of the car audio specialists that i talked to but they seem pretty nice. well i hope i have helped and good luck with your system!! :)

Audiobahns are really not that great...my friend bought 3 of them, all of which had the voicecoil cover pop off...and my rockfords out beat him...oh, and the jackhammer can be bought for $3500... why is Bill Gates the only man able to afford this?........

Audiobahn is basic, Dc Audio is top of the line for subs, boss doesnt have anything to do with dc-boss sucks, bose by the way isnt good, its all rumors made up to sell a overpriced mediocre product. AudioQue is a good brand if you were thinking of that. stick with the p3s or something better.

A dream system through Audiobahn? LAUGHABLE!!

You want a Kicker Solo X. No buts about it now, you want it.

I assume you cannot aford an MTX Jackhammer because I don't know anyone who can besides Bill Gates...

it all depends on what your looking for. the crispest tightest sub i have ever heard is a boston g5. but the loudest sub i have ever heard is a pioneer spl5000. audiobahn is great for shows like pimp my ride, so is alpine and jl. but IMO all of these brands are overated, and over priced. well audiobahn isnt over priced. if your going for a crisp good clean system, go boston. if your going for the loudest system in the state, go pioneer.

i believe Audiobahn is more for show, and i've never heard of them lasting too long...
In my opinion.. a couple of JL W7. I currently own one 12W7, and man does it sound beautiful, and when i need it to, it will pound!

they can either suck or be great. it doesn't depend on the subs that much. its more about the amplifier and the right box.
