I'm interested in selling my youngest daughter into slavery as sanctioned in Exodus 21:7. She's a Georgetown sophomore, speaks fluent Italian, always cleared the table when it was her turn. What would a good price for her be? While thinking about that, can I ask another? My chief of staff, Leo McGarry, insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2 clearly says he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself, or is it okay to call the police? Here's one that's really important because we've got a lot of sports fans in this town. Touching the skin of a dead pig makes one unclean. Leviticus 11:7. If they promise to wear gloves, can the Washington Redskins still play football? Can Notre Dame? Can West Point? Does the whole town really have to be together to stone my brother John for planting different crops side-by-side? Can I burn my mother in a small family gathering for wearing garments made from two different threads? Think about those questions, would you?

Why do you holier-than-thous always live in the Old Testament. You completely miss the point of the New Testament. Whom did Christ condemn? Even while hanging from the Cross, Jesus said "forgive them for they know not what they do."

Also, I suppose you think it's all right to give your daughters or sisters to mobs to be raped and murdered as was the case with Lott

Homosexuals will be judged in the same way you'll be judge. If that is the case , be afraid, be very afraid.

In your friend Bob's case who believes Liberals should be included. Maybe fascist conservatives should sit on the laps of those they judge.

Pretty strong words huh! In the Old Testament God set up some very specific laws and the punishment was swift. In the New Testament we have grace because of Jesus. The Scriptures in the New Testament say that homosexuals will not inherit the kingdom of God, other words they will not make it to heaven. We are to love the sinner, but hate the sin. Homosexuality is against God's law, and in the New Testament Jesus wants them to change their ways or not get into heaven.
In the Old Testament God's laws were in place, and the punishment for breaking the law was swift. In some countries it's still this way.

As far as the new testament is concerned no, because
Christ fulfilled the law of moses...it says it right in the scriptures

Even in Moses' time very few found this way where actually killed

BTW did you know that it is not against the Halacha for
a woman to be a homosexual? Only for men. If you dont
believe me look in the Torah, and Momiadenes (i think i spelled
his name wrong ) it was only after the Talmud that someone
'tried' to make it agianst the halacha, but he failed because
he was outvoted by the other highpriests. Lesbians and
bisexual women where thought of as worthy to marry
even "high priests" in those days, as long as they covenanted
to bear children.

No, there's a difference between, spiritual death and physical death. What gives one the right to kill anyone, especially someone who has never done any harm to another? Besides, even in terms of spiritual death, God is merciful and forgiving. We must also remember that being a homosexual is not sinful in and of itself. As the passage you mention suggests, it is only in acting out on homosexual desires that a sin is committed. As Christians, we should be pro-life. This does not only mean in terms of abortion, but in terms of other life-related issues as well, including the death penalty.

Haven't you ever heard of seperation of church and state? Just because you believe in the bible propaganda does not make it real and true. I could also argue this with:

Judge not, lest ye be judged.
Let he who is without sin cast the first stone
Thou shalt not kill
Thou shalt not bear false witness against his neighbor.......
(All men must be aware that to gossip or to darken another man's name or way will most certainly be accountable to Me. Each man is accountable for himself and will have to stand solely alone on the merits he earned walking the human role. Men who sin against this Rule will most likely sin against several of the others, for to bear false witness says ego, pride, jealousy, contempt, and a lack of self-discipline)

Shall I keep going? You do not have the right to judge anyone according to God's word. That is between the sinner and God himself.

If you were a true Christian then you would know all of this.

Read the amendment to this act. It's found in 1 Corinthians 6:12-20

And besides the death penaltity can only be administered by the governmant so why are you asking the question here?

You are reading out of leviticus. The Jewish law from God. It says many things like guys aren't allowed to shave their beards and you can't turn your head left on mondays or something like that. It gives us many insights into the cultures of the time cuz God not only wanted them to be different, He wanted them to look different (still does). There are many things that lead to the death penalty in Leviticus. But Jesus gave us a new covenant. A new law impressed on our hearts. It's not up to us to deal out God's penalties. He will do it in His time.
And yes, all sin leads to death, including homosexuality. If you don't believe in Jesus (that he died for our sins and was resurrected), repent (truly be sorry and turn from your sins), and put your trust in Jesus, you will end up in Hell.
It's as simple as that. It's not easy. It's just the way it is.

I want to know who was there when these words were SPOKEN EXACTLY AS THEY WERE WRITTEN BY GOD ????? Have you ever played the game where people sit in a circle and tell a story by whispering it to the next person?? ALL of these years later I can just barely imagine how those words were changed and don't you think that if GOD wanted HOMOSEXUALS to go to hell that they would be here on earth? Is this any of your business???? JUDGE NOT LEST YE BE JUDGED??? GO FIND SOMETHING TO LEARN INSTEAD OF SOMETHING TO CRITICIZE!! What harm is anyones sexuality doing to you ??? That is unless Gay or straight nobody hits on you!

Yes absolutely and I think Christians should flick the switch don't you?

But if you execute gay people what will you do with people who actually do harm to society and other people?

It's like when people say they hate gays if you are going to be so incontinent in the use of the hate word it leaves you nothing special for someone who is a serious threat and doing really bad stuff to you...just a thought.
