I hurt my back last year, I went to the E.R. Long story short, I have Had a MRI, Milogram, catscan, And about a half ton of other X-rays . I can barely get around in my Apartment, Everday since I was hurt has been misreble, I went to the Doctor from the ER for after care for several months, The work comp nurse was there when the doctor vowed to not give up till he found the problem, Then out of the blue during a visit he released me, I lost the work comp payments for 19 weeks, They (W.C.) sent me to another doctor and he said that I have some more test to do because I have alot of swelling and stuff going on with my back, Anyway, I have seen a lawyer( who never returns my calls) And in the meantime I have lost my car and had to sale alot of my household furnishings, Just to pay bills and pay for food and ect... I am at my witts end!!! If anyone can help me, Give me some useful Advice, any information would be appreciated

First of all you need a different lawyer. The lawyer is the one who is supposed to be frighting for you and moving things as quickly as possible. Not to return your calls is inexcusable. I'm sorry to say this happens with attorneys way too often. Send him a certified letter giving him notice that if he does not do something immediately (I'm assuming you have hired him) you will fire him and seek out other legal sources.
Are you receiving any payments from Workers Comp. You need some help financially so if you are not receiving too much check with you local Family & Childrens service and see what is available for you from them.
This is a mess but I have seen this over and over again. They, the insurance comany, will do whatever they can to keep from paying. Go on the internet and look up the law on Workers Comp Insurance to see what you rights are in your state.

Even if you have signed a contract, if they don't preform their duties, you can fire them. You will need to ask him for an itemized bill for his services if you fire him as the next attorney will need to know this information.

This would probably be through your social service office. It's a little hard as I don't know what state your from and each state has different names for their social outreach services.
