Here's the thing about salvation ... true acceptance of Christ means you are transformed from your old life and you change, completely. You won't slide back into your old self, ever. You grow and change daily, and the wisdom you gain is eternal.
If you do "backslide" then I'd probably question the validity of your claim to being one of Jesus flock.

Yes, I believe in eternal salvation, and I believe that you can lose it if you turn your back on God. The Scriptures are full of living a life worthy of Him, and allowing Him to change us from the heart. If we refuse all that He offers time after time, pretty soon He stops offering. Wouldn't you? This is only my opinion. I've been a Christian for 24 years, and I know God. I know that He is pleased with me, and I know when He is not, it is by the Holy Spirit that He communicates these things to me. It is gentle. I also know what it's like to be disciplined by Him, this is not a fun place but necessary, just like a Father to a child.
He gives us choices, and never forces anyone to accept salvation.

I, being a member of the Members of the Church of GOD International [I Tim 3:15], our preacher has taught this to us during our indoctrination - which wasn't taught to me when I was a Catholic.
I do not believe that salvation is eternal, here are some of the verses which proves it:
I. A person who does sins repetitively could be excommunicated:
a) Tit 3:10 A man that is a heretic after the first and second admonition reject;
II. Once a person is removed from the truth or his salvation is removed, he cannot do good anymore.
a) Jer 7:28 But thou shalt say unto them, This is a nation that obeyeth not the voice of the LORD their God, nor receiveth correction: truth is perished, and is cut off from their mouth.
b)Joh 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
And when the person is separated, he is condemned to damnation and has no other way to be saved.
a) Heb 6:4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
Heb 6:5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
Heb 6:6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.
b) Eph 4:4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
Eph 4:5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
Eph 4:6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
I hope this answers your question. GOD Bless

There is no salvation. There's just the end of life. I wish people would worry more about the life they've got now than about some fantasy they believe will happen after they die. The world would be a much better place.

Funny coincidence, I was just thinking about this today. Some churches have a tenet of 'once saved, always saved,' which they call perseverance of the saints. Others believe that a person who is saved must...well, I don't know what they call it, but personally I'm with the first group. Jesus said He would not lose a single soul given to Him by the Father. To my mind, if a person is unsaved when they die, then they were never truly saved in the first place. Good question!

If you believe what the Holy Spirit did for you after you trusted in what the Lord Jesus Christ did for you on the cross then you would know that you have eternal salvation. (1) He baptized you into the body of Christ and you became a member in particular. 1 Corinthians 12: 13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. 1 Corinthians 12: 27 Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular. (2) He sealed you with Holy Spirit of promise until the day of redemption. Ephesians 1: 13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Ephesians 4: 30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. (3) He circumcised you with a operation made without hands. Colossians 2: 11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: How could you ever be take out of His body? How can you break the seal of God? How can you ever be uncircumcised? The answer to question you can not.

True believers can never lose their salvation. It is God's job to preserve those who are in him, and it is our responsibility to persevere in the faith. People can lose their faith if they are only so-called believers, in which case, nothing has been lost - they were never true Christians. But true believers will never lose their salvation. And if you are doubting your being in Christ, then ask yourself things like "Do I hate my sin rather than just give into it?", "Do I bear the fruit of a believer?", etc.

i don't believe in eternal salvation regardless to what the bible says, or what christians tell you. you should live your life to be in harmony with the rest of humanity, all the time, every day, then when you die you will die with the knowledge that you lived your life the best you could, and tried to make life better for others.

Eternal is not eternal until you enter it.
you are asking 2 different things.
If you asking, can you loose salvation? Thats a denominational question. I wouldn't debate 2 seconds.
Have a good week.

I believe that if you ask God to forgive your sins and accept Jesus as the only way to save you from your sins, that God will forgive you. And no, I believe that you can't lose your salvation. In the New Testiment, God promises eternal life in heaven with him to those who accept Jesus as their personal Savior from their sins. God doesn't lie so I have nothing to worry about.

Salvation as being defined as being able to enter into "The Kingdom of Heaven" from the Judgement of God.
Yes you can lose your salvation.
